All, Just got my 355 CH serviced. All fine but a friend realised the spark plugs they put were standard item, different from the 355CH genuine item which apparently the same as F40. As I use the car mainly on road, I am not fussed much about not having the genuine item. But I was wondering: a) do you guys have the std or genuine item on your car ? b) any views on the practical differences in behaviour ? Thanks T
Which is the superior plug, Ferrari 171626? Does anybody know what that is exactly, Eurospares has it at $33 each ;-)
Here's a good useful thread, looks like the F355 and F40 plugs are interchangeable and here's more info on F40 options: F40 Spark Plugs - FerrariChat.com
I just checked the spare parts of my recently acquired 355 Challenge. Two sets of plugs in the spares: NGK R PMR7A (Ferrari part No. 169483, yellow Ferrari box) NGK R PMR7A in the standard "Laser Platinum" box, no Ferrari or something The later one sells for EUR 14,90 / each in Germany. Hope that helps.

Same plug that's specced for the 2.7 motronic road cars (PMR7A). 5.2's got one range colder PMR8's. I've tried both in my road car (2.7) and noticed zero difference.
I just had my plugs changed. The shop recommended NGK 4259 plugs. I had a little sticker shock when I got the bill though - $31 CAD per plug. PS: Just found the same plugs at Rock Auto for $13 CAD each. In case anyone else is looking.
