Not true. The F50 motor has similar "architecture" to the 12 cyl F1 motor but nothing really in common.

So this car had nothing to do with an MC12 then? It would seem that way to me unless Ferrari own Maserati which i didnt think they did, saying that, isnt there a Maserati Cambiocorsa or something that has a Ferrari engine or head?

What engine is in an MC12?

At the end of the video, its says they were to whisk Frank away by Jet after his new F1 car broke to another toy then the video stopped, what was it?

The MC12 has a less powerful Enzo V12. Probably down to different exhaust and intake.

Maserati and Ferrari both are owned by Fiat so their sister companies. The MC12 is built off of the Enzo chassis. I don't remember the specifics on this Enzo but this car was used in some way for the MC12 be it the stock MC12, the corsa or the full race spec version I don't remember.

I hate to be "Johnny Rain Cloud" but I think it's VERY ugly and does not DESERVE to be called a Ferrari.
    JMHO though...

Here are there 2 pictues I took some years ago.

    First Picture

During July of 2003 Maserati reserve the track of Monza for a 3 day test session. With the support of Pirelli were present Maserati truks.
The car on track was a "Ferrari Enzo Laboratorio" during its first (and maybe unique) test. At the wheels Andrea Bertolini (Ferrari Gt tester) at his firt appearance.
The car was a bit immature as you can see, and didn't set any fast time during the 3 day session. They run at moderate rhythm, they were testing solution for a future project.

    Secon Picture

Summer 2004, Maserati was again in Monza for a 3 days sesion. At the wheels Andrea Bertolini but this time the car was a 100% Maserati, a brend new Mc-12 at its second test on track (after Fiorano). The car was immediatly competitive and set very fast times during day 1.

I find 1000 the wheels VERY hard to believe. MAYBE at the crank but I am pretty sure 1000 at the wheels is impossible.

I would love for you to prove me wrong. That would be amazing if confirmed.

Isn't it possible that this car was the first prototype for the FXX??? I think so!

Current Formula 1 cars can get 800+ BHP out of 2.4 litre V8's BUT they provide the max power at approx. 18,000RPM so unless the F50 GT1 can rev to at least 15,000 without grenading yes it pprobably could push 1,000 BHP if limited to 10,000 or 12,000 then 750 BHP would be more realistic.
    IMHO

wouldn't the F50 GT engine be approx the same as the engine in the 333 SP?

I don't think IMSA let them run a 4.7 liter. Had to have been a 4.5L, or 4.0L

I think you're right. Although the MC12 and Enzo basically share the same engine, the engine in the prototype was obviously from an Enzo and not that of an MC12. And someone also brought up that they tested a Corsa shortly after the mystery prototype was spotted on the track. I'm thinking that it's an FXX mule for sure.
