2 different cars. 1121012 was the car Valentino crashed. The factory then compensated Johl with 1121026, the car featured in this thread.
FWIW the car WAS built with front fog-lights. See here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=140888853&postcount=10616 The deletion of these was done in the USA at a later date when the DOT applications were added.
Those wing side plates seem very strange.....plus o.p. seems to suggest the bravos as an option but those are normal spec for that year correct?
Correct. Also the end-plates are something the subsequent owner of 0202 simply added to his car after Wolf's ownership, and Johl followed suit with 1026.
The other special build Countach (has the same brass plaque on the door-sill) was 1121090 built by the works for Armin's brother Fred Johl. Finished in Blu Acapulco with special dark blue Seeger leather interior. Fred told me he ordered the car through Hubert Hahne and at the time he had to pay CASH IN FULL before the car was even built. Needless to say, he followed its progress very closely and ended up collecting the car at Sant Agata upon completion in the summer of 1979. Image Unavailable, Please Login
