What do you do after you drive your Ferrari somewhere and get out? A special pocket for the Fcar keys? Any extra protection? I imagine it would be very bad have them lost or stolen. For some reason I was thinking about this today

When I bought an Enzo key for my Modena, I dreamed that I gave it to Premier and they wrapped it.

I toss 'em to my wife to hold...she's a Black Belt....and she also has less of a chance of losing/dropping them than I would.

Just keep the Ferrari keys/fob next to my cell phone on the bar counter (or desk or table at wherever I am...)

    Classic.

Put it in my pocket. It is on a keychain by itself so no problem keeping it handy. I might also add a hide-a-key somewhere with a spare in case I lose it. You can make a spare key with the Alfa something or other blanks that are like $3 at the hardware store. Not pretty but it will get me home if I lose the regular key.

I have an armed guard with me at all times. He holds the keys.

When the car is parked, he remains with it, arms crossed, grim visage, weapon loaded, cocked with safety off. If anyone comes near my car, he warns them once, then shoots to kill.

I actually did THAT after running from the storms, I figured if anyone braved the herd of longhorns, they deserved a test drive!

And of course, after a few weeks the batteries were both flat........then dead!

They told me a troublemaker from the herd found it's way into the shed after walking the pipe cattleguard, feasting on the rabbit food. When they scared it off, it cleared the front bonnet in one leap!

I feel a rib eye comin' on........I'll get the car back to town soon!

My heart cannot take hearing those stories anymore.......

Wow. No offense, but I think this is a little paranoid. I love my car as much as the next guy, but special key placement?! Put them where you put the keys to any other car you own and make sure you have full coverage.

I tend to lose things a lot. I like Marq's idea, I might do that whenever I get mine
