After only 2 track days the dealership has told me that my pads are cooked 2/3 of the way through and I have only 1 more track day left in them. I have also been told that the CCM rotors need to be replaced every 2nd pad change. The quoted price for all 4 has been estimated around AUD$50,000...

Movit rotors and pads will by contrast set me back only around $15,000 so I will be moving to this once the rotor needs replacing. In the meantime I would like to try a non OEM pad given the poor wear. From my reading, the only option appears to be the Pagid RSC2 (Speciale only has RSC2 available). Does anyone have any experience with these? Price is around AUD$2800 vs AUD$5000 for OEM.

Any other options that are confirmed to work well with the OEM rotors, and suitable for mixed tweet/track use?

Sounds like BS to me... Is it the rear pads? The system tells you rotor-wear in percent - on my Italia the rotor-wear was 4 % after 25000 km...

2 pad changes and your carbon rotors are done? Sounds like on the really safe side. You should ask them what the actual wear on the rotor is when you change the pads. 3 track days is way below average for pad change unless it was a really tight course, you were on the track for a long time and really pushing it every turn.

Agree that sounds like crap. Either get access to a hoist and check them yourself or contact the factory too see what their thoughts are.

IMHO Dealer just trying screw money. Was it Zags?

In contrast, steel rotors last 5 pad changes.

    Thanks for everyones responses.

The dealership is the former Ferrari franchise here in Brisbane, Willims Motor Group. I haven't spoken to the new franchise yet. The pad wear was defined by how much of the pad had turned white from the rotor contact surface area to the backing plate of the pad. They showed me photos. This dealership thought that the expected life of the pad should be around 6 track days, so they did query my extreme wear. They assumed it was the intervention of stability management (I track in Race Mode).

Previously my research about longevity has revealed the following CCM ? Ceramic Composite Material | Speedwerks. Street rotor wear = 150,000kms, race rotor wear = 2,000kms. Based on this, 5000kms or so with my style of use appears to be consistent with what the dealership have told me.

So any experience with the RSC2 or am I the guinea pig? What's everyone else putting on their Speciales?

Pad wear is determined by visual inspection.
Disc wear and any replacement is independent of pad wear. Disc replacement is required if the dash light says so (determined by a formula of brake usage, no actual measurements), visual inspection showing damage or wear exceeding 0.5mm.
There is no change of discs required every x pad changes.
