I too owned a red and yellow spec race car. Designed it myself 25 or so years ago. But, for me I always have a more edgy looking race car than street cars. Call me boring. But hey, variety is the spice of life.

Even at $500k here in USA I think there’s still $100k to fall.

I think plenty of cars have more to go but I actually feel like some models are near their limit here - 458's/430's/430 scud/ 360's etc the 458 spec will drop a little and pista/tdf/lusso/812/la ferrari will drop a lot this year

enzo f40/f50/288gto and older cars will be safe

the market is very fussy at the moment

I recall that. The crazy thing is that Speciale Aperta values were already in heavy freefall when he made the purchase, so it's not like he just bought at the peak and failed to predict a turnaround. If he did just 15 minutes of research on CarGurus he would've seen the obvious price trend.

Im not sure my spider is less fun than a speciale. IMO, the sound on my spider is better than the speciale.

    I went from a scud>Speciale>SCUD again , then just added a spider.

But if u have not experienced a speciale, go for it. Lots of 458s to go around.

I ended up going with the speciale and I love it. To my ears the speciale sound is similar to the spider with the back window rolled down. I had the valves opened though. I think the next addition to my garage is gonna be an F12 TDF. I think I’d be fairly content in between that, the speciale, and either my rover or the new G wagon as a daily.

Similar tastes my friend....love our G and SVR.
Congrats again in your beautiful S!
Watch the TDF market closely as well, it has fallen quite a bit similarly as the SA. TDF once at $1.3 now in 8’s and continuing to drop.

With the Rosso Corsa SA in SF down to asking $509k, I can see it and other SA’s being bought with a 4 in front of it. Hard to believe I knew someone that paid 700 and 800 for them....a near 50% pullback.

Thanks Eddie! That is a beautiful car collection and garage!! Yeah I think the TDF prices will come down a bit. I am thinking of a bianco italia over a cuoio interior with a pozzi blue stripe and a lot of blue carbon fiber! haha. I love my rover too but the 4x4 G-wagon looks amazing!

Why? Is he a jerk? Like a is he a perpetual schadenfreude? Don't know much about him, if so agreed.

Yes, we I know those type of guys. I think we all agree that folks that revel in other's misfortunes often deserve to be bashed.

One can now find Speciale in Europe at less than EUR 250K (USD 277K), with less than 20,000 miles from Ferrari dealers and less from 10,000 from other dealers.
The Speciale seems to follow the downward trend that currently impacts all used Ferrari, VS or regular, recent or older.

No, he's just an annoying YTer. One of the most annoying IMO. Clickbait everything, bragging video titles etc. "I ordered this! I order that! I'm only 25! I just spent $1M on new cars!"

Dude was ordering an SVJ or something like that, then got worried about depreciation since they weren't limited, so he bought the SA for $700K saying how it's a car he could finally drive and it would appreciate instead of depreciate, though anyone with half a brain knows you can't actually put a lot of miles on even a limited Ferrari.

And then while talking about how he's afraid to put miles on the SA due to depreciation, he seemingly goes and buys a high option 600 LT that no doubt instantly lost just as much money as the SA driving it off the lot.

Had a look on his channel and he just traded in the SA for a Wraith and an 812. The dealer has the SA listed at $559k so the guy must have lost a ton of money on that car, and if you add the depreciation of the 600lt and E63 to the mix as well it's not looking pretty.

I also agree with you on how terrible that channel is, although clickbaiting and sensationalism seems like par for the course for the YT car vloggers nowadays. It's like most of them have given up on producing decent content and are just aiming their videos at people between the age of 6-14.

you are pessimistic or even subjective! the cheapest in France is € 264,900 with 28,500 km!
it seems that only the F8 Tributo is desirable
    Keep serious !

People looking at cars of these prices can easily extend their search to other european countries (like Germany, where one can get a high mileage Speciale for little more than 200000 EUR and one similar to the one you mention at 264000 for less than 250000 from an official Ferrari dealer), the asked prices are not representing the real market...
This is not subjective, it's a real ad: https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id=265321779&damageUnrepaired=NO_DAMAGE_UNREPAIRED&isSearchRequest=true&makeModelVariant1.makeId=8600&makeModelVariant1.modelDescription=speciale&makeModelVariant1.modelId=2&pageNumber=1&scopeId=C&sfmr=false&sortOption.sortBy=searchNetGrossPrice&sortOption.sortOrder=ASCENDING&searchId=5b1b3335-99e1-d4ad-5ba7-b3f634c16ae2
I now gave up on selling my 488 GTB, and I can tell you that the prices asked in ads are nowhere near the prices one can get. All used Ferrari prices are under high pressure now, it's definitely a buyers market - and I guess I will buy another used Ferrari rather than sell mine, and this is also a better choice than buying a new F8.
    And I couldn't be more serious ;)

the French and European market for high-end vehicles is difficult with few buyers
the taxes in France are particularly very high (€ 8,000 in luxury vehicle taxes on new and used cars)
it is useful to wait a few months even 1 year to assess whether the impact of the taxes will have a lasting effect on the market.
in France the registration taxes of a Pista or an F8 Tributo amount to more than 32,000 € !
