However tdf prices have gone up the last car sold on BaT went for nearly $1.4mm very recently and i believe there is no car left for sale in the US. V12 vs V8 interest?
I believe, more a situation of supply and demand, for the USA, somewhere fewer than 300 F12Tdfs were produced...for the Speciale, somewhere around 800, and the Aperta maybe 150 produced for USA. And, unique situation regarding the TDF, the 812c is not what everyone aspires to (for example, no back window?) and higher production numbers, the TDF is considered by many to be the top V12 special series car (as exhibited by the overnight 20% price increase the day the 812c was revealed and then increases beyond as well as cars pulled off the market). And, for many, the constant replacement of their stable is no longer occurring as there is no 'next' new car to aspire to at all. There is at least 1 TDF currently for sale, chassis 225939 @Merit Partners
The speciale coupe or aperta is the best NA V8 Ferrari ever built. It's price might blip up and blip down, but everything about it is amazing. In time, it will be the legendary V8. The F12 TDF was a legend from conception.
There is no other Ferrari that draws my eyes and gives me as much emotion than the F12TdF. The most beautiful creation they’ve done in my eyes. I totally agree with what you say, it was born a legend and classic and only a ( short) matter of time before it is perceived as one of the all time great alongside the halo cars

Bidding ends soon: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2015-ferrari-458-speciale-21/ Current Bid: $446,226
If I remember correctly, this car was offered out of Ron Tonkin in the past and had aftermarket wheels available. A sinister looking ride. Great price.
I think that particular spec was unique and may not enjoy as broad support as a more traditional spec would of received. That said, 525K for a 7K mile example of limited interest was a good finish. It was presented by a dealer that could of had a higher reserve but removed it once the bidding was over 500K (speculation) otherwise it probably would of been a "bid to" auction result instead of a "sold" result.
I imagine that the more "standard" colors for a Speciale, like red, black, etc will be easier to sell but won't hit the highs that a rarer color would. The white one and the special order silver that hit the big numbers on BaT just need two people looking for something unique to go stratospheric. and of course Blue is best of all Image Unavailable, Please Login
While of course the highest sale will go to whatever the tastes of the richest person are, I believe an ultra low mileage launch spec would probably fetch the most money. Followed by cool rarer builds. Followed by high mileage launch spec builds. Followed by ugly combos in last. These auctions are still a bit sad. Life would be better if these cars were selling cheap enough that putting one into a wall at your favorite track was a bad day and not a half million dollar day.
Unique speck and with 7k miles, I think 525kmis a strong number in this recession. Speciales are holding IMO Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The only issues I had with the spec were lack of NART livery and leather interior. And of course I only drink Rosso kool-aid. Lol Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat

Well, that sale at 525K must of been encouraging... Here is another, Rosso Scuderia, Alcantara, Lift...and 7K miles, but, 9 owners, looking for owner #10 https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2014-ferrari-458-speciale-12/
I pursued this car when it was at Strada about a year ago. I love Rosso Scuderia. Really pops in the sun.
It is the same car! I watched that video last year and you are spot on! In the end, didn’t like the racing livery or the black interior, very happy I waited for launch spec. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
What's up with the UK market? Here is a left hand drive for what was $300k USD a few days ago. https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/14107941 How hard would it be for Americans to start buying these cars and ship them over?
