    Worth checking, as I have #15/100 being a red/tan 348 TB (s/n 93950).

I believe that he said it was re-painted, so it would make sense. I know it was #15 as he opened the door and I saw that it said "#15 of 100".

Just a little more information on the SS cars. In all of the serial/car no. lists that are on this forum I have not seen car no. 89/95778 so I thought it could be added. This car was purchased about a year ago in CA from the origianal owner, its red/tan without the carbon seats. There are two 348SS in Kalispell, MT. Car no. 31/94269 blk/blk with the carbon seats has been here since 1996. Regards, Vern

I forgot to mention this in the above. the build date on car no. 31 was June of '92 with the MSO on no.31 was dated Apr. '93 and the build date on car no. 89 was Oct. 92. Were all 100 SS's built in '92? except of course the 15 '94 cars. Regards, Vern

Does anyone know exactly how many SS cars are left?
It's my understanding that a few were totaled...

I don't know of any that were totalled (which doesn't mean there aren't any). I believe No 94 (s/n 95883) has a salvage title.

Hey guys, Ive been thinking about my next fcar, and started to think about the 348 speciale. I notice some pics here, but was wondering, the back end of the car, its tail lights do not have the grill correct ? Also, I thought the sides did not have them either? Soem pics on a ferrari book I have show this.

Also, how much differently does it drive from the regular 348? The extra 15 hp is to make some difference, but I heard its more in the suspension of the car, and the handlying is great, not to mention the sound, and of course the stance. Any details please advise.

Fianlly, does anyone know of how many made it here to Canada. Would like and prefer the local car here if I could find one. Please post more pics of the rear and engine bay please.

    Thanks fellas.

Thanks Jason, but I would prefer a CDN car, its easier, I dont have to worry about meeting CDN standards for bumpers and the like. Heard its a big pain.

Also, I thought the 348 speciale had clear slats along the side...more like a 355. And the wheels I saw a 1 bolt, looked like a f40 type of rim. Where these European cars ?

The 348 SS had regular side slats like all 348's. Unless someone changed them, but that is not original. They did not have slats on the rear tail lights in '93. I think they made 15 348 SS ts's in '94. From a pic I saw of one for sale it looked like it had rear slats.

The wheels you are talking about were special on 348 competizione models that were released in Europe only in '94. The 348 SS had same style wheels as all 348's except the rear rims had 15mm greater offset which was supposed to improve handling.

So this pic I have in a book then must be a 348 Competizion....it looks quite like the a la mini f40 whit the 1 bolt, and the almost 355 side. Do you know how many were made?

As for the 348 ss does anyone know how many are in CDN? And the extra hp with the handlying is that much better than a regular 348? Anyone advise on this ?
    Thanks.

HI I have a speciale here in the UK but of course it is a Maranello speciale. The changes are reported to be about the same as yours. But only about 6 were made.

Looks like a nice example Eric. It has always suprised me the differences in the '94SS from the '93 cars. No carbon seats, no frt spoiler lip and I noticed that your lower door panel has carpet, I thought that from '93 forward it was changed to leather. Please don't take this as complaint its just observation on my part, again very nice purchase. Oh, and at 55,000.00 that would be a good price. Regards, Vern

Do you have a file on these cars that you could share with us?

I have a "93 in the shop now doing a major service on it. I'll get the info on it tomorrow.

My dad's friend is looking at a 92 Series Speciale in Chicago. It has had its 30k and has 21,500 miles. They are asking 55k. Is this a fair price?
(Sorry to go off topic, but i figured you all would be the most knowledgeable)
