    Hello,

No longer in the Bay area myself these days but my friend got a speeding and unsafe lane change ticket in Marin on 101.

Anyone possibly have any tips on how to beat it or is it a lost cause?

    Thanks,

    Sixcarbs

Proceed with Trial by Written Declaration first. If it fails, then you still have the option of asking for a new trial "trial de novo." Google is your friend.

Marin is nearly impossible to get out of.

I did my TBD, officer took the time to find me guilty. Went to court, officer showed up, judge found me guilty, ended up getting permission to go to traffic school after all.

Think of Marin along the same lines as King City... :(

A fellow Ferrari owner used these guys http://www.ticketbust.com/ and was successful in getting out of speeding infraction (48 in a 35 on a city street with the cop using radar). I think his total out-of-pocket costs were about 1/2 of what the total fine + traffic school would have been. He was very very pleased ...
