    Nothing to do with our cars but was wondering why a lot of states have no fines for speeding tickets they always have to go to court. In alberta you know what the punishment is gonna be before you do anything stupid. Henry maybe you can give us the officer perspective.

    Can only speculate Grant, but I'm betting it all comes down to money. If you force someone to go to court you can charge them substantial, "administrative fees," for the privilige of having a judge, court reporter and investigating officer there with you.
