3 months ago my rev counter stopped working during a few hours and then somehow without me doing anything got back working properly. This happened maybe 5 times in the past since then. Now, the exact same situation occurs but with the speedometer. Any hints on solving procedure.

When your speedometer stops working, does the odometer stop as well, or does it continue to add up the miles (perhaps erratically?). Did the speedo just stop, or is the needle jumping around?

If you've had troubles with both the speedo and the tach, that MIGHT be an indication of a bad connection at the wiring harness to the dash pod. It's easy to check.

    Roger that.

2 screws, one on each bottom corner of the instrument pod, get removed, the steering column gets lowered all the way down, then get a firm hold of the sides of the pod and pop it straight up.

Then you will want to check the connector on the left hand side of the engine bay, right between the shock tower and charcoal canister. After that the connection for the speedometer sending unit attached to the left bottom side of the gear box.

But start with the connection behind the pod like Jeff suggested.
