This speedometer angle drive is used on the Dino as well as other Ferraris. I've been told it is lubricated by the gearbox oil. Does anyone know if this is true? Otherwise I would guess it was just lubed up at assembly and sealed.

It was lubricated during assembly. It is probably possible to disassemble it to clean/re-lube if necessary.
