Hi, I going through the process of importing a Testarossa (thanks to everyone for their thoughts on my previous questions).
In Australia I understand I need to get the speedo face to read in km/hour (currently it reads in mph with smaller numbers for kph which apparently is not good enough).
I'm imagining there must be some sort of sticker that can be placed on the face with just km/hour at the appropriate spacing?
I would really appreciate any thoughts if anyone been throught the process or has any suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Gary.

Might try to write these guys an email.

They just rebuilt my TR Tachometer for $180 USD. I saw lots of different restoration projects etc while I was picking up my unit.

Gary, I have imported 6 cars to Australia, never had any issue with the speedo as presented with both kmh and mph. It is only if the speedo is in miles only. If you need to change, I believe the kmh speedos are still available. I am sourcing one at the moment, I will let you know costs and availability when I have it.

just remember if you only replace the speedo head or just add a sticker to km,the odometor will still read in miles.you must also replace the odometor unit to a km unit if you want it to read in km and not miles.

Thanks for everyones thoughts so far.

I have found a speedometer specialist that says he can make & fit an overlay onto the speedo that will be km/hour (so that it shouldn't need recalibrating).
He seems to indicate that this can't be done if the speedo is backlit.
Sorry if this sounds a silly question, but is the Testarossa speedo backlit?
It so, would it really matter that much if it was covered up with an overlay (eg impossible to see at night (not that I plan to drive too much at night!).
    Thanks,
    Gary.
