Has anyone experience this issue. My wife's 355 which I purchased for her Saint Valentine's Day has developed this odd speedo problem. It started about 5 days back, where the speedo read fine, then nothing at all. We would stop go to lunch or dinner come back and the speedo is ok, but then after 3 to 4 miles Bingo! The speedo is dead again, and as of last night it will not read at all, no speed and no miles on the odometer.
So any ideas of what and where to look?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Mine just died straight up... Gonna pull it and see what my options are... It looks like the only car I have found the same sensor for is the F355. As usual, made of unobtanium.

Omg look at all these tmu cars !! Post the vins!! Where's f1moving miked and drbob when ya need em!!

Just kidding. In all seriousness check the connector. Sometimes replacing the sensor is a placebo because you disconnected it!

Good luck. That ended up being it on both of my cars.

You really need to get over it. You bought your car, you are happy with it and that is all that should matter to you. I haven't said a word about your car since you came on this forum announcing that you bought it and that it would be for sale soon. I saw your car, drove your car, met the seller and and am very familiar with it. I am sorry that that seems to bother you but I have not denigrated it or you beyond reporting what I saw in my inspection of it and I have intentionally not delved into it out of respect for you as you say you are an owner and not looking to flip it.

No one has asked me my opinion of it other than than the person I did the inspection for.

I am glad your are thrilled with your car. Leave me out of your comments please.

Thanks Dr Bob. It was just a joke pal nothing more !! I recall you asking how i fixed speedo, no body believed me. Im sure you would be confused if you just bought a car and another member posted flaws that were readily corrected. I put 50+ hours into cleaning this car up and correcting many issues. It has been a fun journey and I have learned a lot. I'm proud to own a ressurected 355. Your response is greatly appreciated. Happy motoring!!!!!!

    Sincerely yours,

    GTSNJ

Ok, I've checked and the speed sensor at the gearbox is toast. So is there a Non OEM part number-replacement and where can I purchase said item. 1996 F355 Spider.

    Thanks in advance.
