Unless its a repost I haven't seen yet, I'm surprised no one has brought up the SPEEDTV Tommy Kendall Test Drive show last night. It featured Tommy on the track with Mika Hakkinen and Klaus Ludwig with plenty of behind the scenes stuff at the AMG facility. It was a terrific, one that makes you want to go out an buy one right afterwards. Especially the SLK55.

It was pretty good. I missed part of it b/c I was switching between it and the f-ball game.

I watched as well. Wasn't what I expected. Basically showed the host kissing ass and following the race car drivers around in the cars. Not much detail about the cars. Def not a top gear show.

I liked the show a lot - nice to see the "Hakk attack" back again and the Le Mans legend Klaus Ludwig.

American automotive shows are usually cut and dry so I am used to it.

I am sure Speed will repeat it ...

I agree.... it was OK for a little bit but after a while it seemed like an advert that just wouldn't end.

Wow Sam - I totally agree with you! I thought it was great. Here's the scoop from Speed TV - Mika caught my interest regarding DTM with his comments regarding the series and I think we will punt some F1 races in Europe this year and go to a couple DTM instead - real racing instead of a processional.
