Spending more time in Austin and Monaco watching?

    Hello Austin peeps...

    I'm considering keeping the Fcar up in Austin instead of Houston since I'm spending almost every weekend up there now. Right now, the car just sits in the garage in Houston because I dont have time to drive it.

    Are there any regular weekend gatherings or brunches in Austin for the Ferrari clan? I'm up in Lakeway, but distance isnt too big of a factor.


    Also, what about F1 watch parties or gatherings at sports bars to watch? Is there a Monaco watch party anywhere in a few weeks?

    I'm in DFW, but it sure seems like having your car in Austin put's you a whole lot closer to the " Hill Country " and the roads out " there " are a whole lot more fun than the 610 Loop in Houston.

    There will be alot going on around the CoTA F1 event when it comes around!

    Are you a member of FCA? the local Hill Country chapter prez sends out club events by email regularly. They meet the last saturday of every month for breakfast and have other events.

    As Safe4now says, we've got lots of great roads (1431 from Cedar park to Marble falls) and many roads south and west of Fredericksburg. 335/336/337 Hwy16, Old San Antonio road, lots.

    FCA is offering tickets for F1. And there's the American LeMan's series at COTA on Sept 20-21. That'll be my favorite. I was just at COTA last weekend when PCA had a club race. Free to get in and watch the cars and see some old friends from DFW.

    If you hit HWY 71 from Houston to Austin, you go right by my place in Bastrop. Always welcome to stop by.

    I've been an FCA member in the Houston chapter since 2006 (still am). And I've emailed the Hill Country chapter about putting me on the mailing list for events, so I should be able to start attending some events up there. Morning drives this summer would be a good way to start or end a nice weekend up there.

    Already got our tix for the F1 race through the club just like last year. same T12 section 3 I think.
    And yep, I drive right through Bastrop every weekend like clockwork! Will definitely keep that in mind!

    The Oasis hosts F1 watch parties as well as monthly Cars and Coffee events.
