At highway speeds with both windows down the boot flaps a bit right behind the seats. I noticed if I put the windows up it stops

I am thinking if I add two snaps, one each right behind the seats it will take care if it

Anyone else notice this or make any mods to reduce it?

I have the same problem. When Jeanne and I are out the boot flaps a bit on my side if I move the seat up slightly. Usually I have the seat back tilted as far back as it goes and the seat almost all the way back. However, Jeanne's seat is much further forward and there is no flapping on her side. I often carry a denim work shirt with me in case it gets cool. If I hang the shirt over my seat it stops the flapping. So that's my fix. :)

Mine does it too. THere's two things you can do:
    1) Move the passenger seat (and drivers) all the way back. it stops. So what if my wife's feet can't use the footrest :)

    2) There's a snap slot in the middle of the back of the Tonneau (sp?) for a Velcro snap to go...probably long since gone on your car. Replace it. This might help.

If you really want to add a snap, I posted a link to get the snaps & anchors from I believe Eagle Products in Florida. Buy the key. you'll thank me later.

John...a denim shirt?? Now you are dating yourself my friend :)

Clyde where is the link? "buy the key"? Not sure what you mean.

I bought the silly snap thing from Ricambi but have yet to install it.

On my 348, a flight jacket snap worked perfectly. Wrong color metal though. Going to check a fabric store for chrome or stainless snaps. There should be one snap on the top right in the center. Is this in use and it's still flapping?

its a buffetting and it is right behind the seats. There are three snaps across the bottom inside , one at each end and one in the middle. I am thinking of putting one more on each side between the outside and center ones

The "key" is the little tool for unscrewing the snaps. If you have a double-pronged sharp object (like a compass) you wont need it. For like $6...it's worth it.
    from the Parts XREF thread:
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the tonneau chrome pulls broke on me.
Found them at TENAX Fasteners "Made In Germany".
They are the exact replacements. Tenax 33 GHE Made in Germany

Dont forget to buy the little tool to make life easier.
They are a quick fix, though a little pricey.

    No affiliation, yada yada

Aha gotcha. My aftermarket tonneau cover may have been based on a 355 pattern. It seams a little wide since the darts pull inward a little and blouse along the edge of the engine cover. I moved the snaps over a bit, punching through the seams, to fit it a little better. I had to punch the holes from the get go but didn't want to break the seams. Still It blouses a bit. Maybe it will shrink with age and the sun. Give it another dose this evening ;)

Clyde, a small sized pair of needle nose pliers works great with a little patience.
