My 458 spider with 400 miles has a rattle or noise in hard top when going over bumps. Took it to dealer and after a day of searching thought it was in the tourneau and fixed it. It's better but still has rattle noise over bumps. Anyone having similar issues? Please advise..

Yes. Just got mine with 1100 miles. Have driven it enough to notice it. Haven't had time to take it in yet?

It ain't the roof. I had the same thing. Its the seat belt in the passenger seat.

Fasten the seat belt in the passenger seat and see if you still hear it.

Mine does not do this. I drive with the top down 99% of the time.

If the seat belt thing doesn't work, drive with the top down. ;)

It's not the seat belt, 1st noticed with my wife in passenger seat and belt on. It definitely is in the roof, any other suggestions? Thx!

If it is only happening going over bumps it is likely to be scuttle shake you are experiencing. The spider does suffer from this over rougher surfaces.

My spider does not do this or any size bump at any speed. no squeeks. no rattles. have over 10k miles on the car.

I do have "Ferrari" neck pads on my seat belts. Maybe this keeps the belt from hitting the passenger seat.

As the Mayor said you can fasten the passenger belt or have someone ride with you with the belt on. If it still rattles it is something else. I found that putting hard things in the door side pockets can rattle and maybe the glove compartment as well.

    Good luck.

Iain are you selling your 458? Just saw online one that looks exactly the same as yours.

It is the rear window rattling. IF the window is partially or fully down it can rattle when you go over a bump. That is besides the seat belt. Took me a while to track down the noise.

In my spider if the seats are pushed back to touch the back panel they will make a rattling noise. Move them forward see if it fixes it.
