Spider matricola numbered plaque?

My new 2014 showed up without the traditional plaque next to the glove box. Do you have them on your 2014s, 2013s, 2012s?

 

It's an option.

My friend's 2014 Spider didn't come with a plaque either. My 2011 has it and his previous 2012 Italia had it.

 

When did it become an option? It used to be standard.

 

Expensive at ~$250 if you want to add it. Last constructor's championship was 2008, so earlier years (2010) work fine for 458s. They use 3M double side adhesive.

I don’t know when did become an option, but for sure on 13s and 14s.

 

Its not a option according to my friend's dealer. The newer cars just didn't come with it.

 

Interesting. My 11 458 and my 05 F430 has it. I quite like this detailing. Maybe when Ferrari wins again....

 

It's an option: "Dedication Plate in Silver".

You can check the box on "Additional Options" at Ferrari.com. It's an option.

 

The dedication plate is different than the matricola plate.

 

Carb- Affirmative, you can put what you want on the dedication plate, Championship plaque is fixed.

Could be Ferrari is just embarassed they have not won a championship since 08. Not so bad in 10 and 11, but getting to be a while in 12 and 13.

 

That is most probably the reason the plaque is not in the new models; kind of funny, but makes sense..
