At its 3 year service my dealer re-proofed the roof. Next time I opened it it would not stow away as easily. It was like the material would not fold as easy. Anyway it eventually stowed - just. That was 6 weeks ago. I tried to open the roof today and it nearly stowed away fully and the metal cover clicked into place at one side but not the other. All actions are fine except this final step.

Currently driving around with roof closed - not what you want with a spider on a nice sunny morning

will phone dealer tomorrow but just wondered if anybody had any ideas

When I asked my dealer about the roof they said no treatment was required to keep it watertight - do you know what was used?

FWIW, I used a good application of RaggTopp protectant on my spider, and have not had any issues with the top's operation as a result (knock on wood). I've used it for years on other cars also without any negative consequence. I don't usually drive my 360 in the rain, but when I wash the car and the top gets wet, the water just beads up and rolls off. Find out what your dealer applied but unless the stuff they used is sticky or changes the folding qualities of the material, I don't see how the application of a protectant can cause the issue you describe.
