    Hey Guys

Working on the top and ran into an issue...

The drivers's side fork does not catch the pin on the way up (closing), and it results in the top getting stuck almost 3/4 of the way up... I have looked at a bunch of threads and tried to do the adjustments to the mechanism by loosening and moving the assembly a bit.. But I am unable to get the fork to sit on the pin...

Then I started to compare both sides (pax side hooks the pin, driver' side fork is missing the pin) - and I realized that the pax side assembly is pretty firm (does not move when moved by hand)... The drivers' side assembly moves up and down by about 1/4" (has play) - This is the bolt that the Catching Pin is on! I am now guessing that the fork assembly should sit about 1/4" higher than it currently is and it will catch the pin - but the 1/4" play (gravity pulling it down) is what is causing it to miss the pin...

The bolt (shown with arrow below) is as tight as it can be... I dont see a parts diagram for this bolt on Ricambi's website... so my question: how do I get the play out of this bolt (where the fork assembly is bolts on to)?

    Thanks!

Merry pre-Christmas morn. Same issue on my 1997 spider. I’ve gotten in habit of pushing the hook a little with my thumb as the ram comes up to ensure it engages. I only use the bypass switch behind the driver seat so can have easy access to both. Imagine there is a way to adjust and if find it I’d be interested too.
