Ifi'mnot mistaken,the 2ºor3ºd post from Goodspeeed was to insult me so, i'm simply surprised he lasted this long!!!
As Chris, i never liked Alonso, in fact i think he's a piece of ****...always said so, many won't agree with me, but no one ever baned or warned me because of it.

Reading and typing this on my phone as moved to Spain but no Internet installed yet (got all the hardware, just waiting on Juan to press the 'on' button when he gets to the office on Monday. Tired of arguing, so put my full attention to San Miguel beers, the beach and a hint of sadness Ill miss the gp this weekend.

Just wanted to voice my opinion briefly; anyone that can't see why Godspeed was banned or deemed Andrews reaction as too harsh... Really?! None of Godspeed 's post have been positive, all made where there to get a reaction out of others. He just came back from another ban and went on to the attack straight away. Good riddance for someone that refused to contribute in any way to the forum.

Can anyone who has sky use their log on to watch it on their phones? All you need is the sky app and then it will work on a regular iPhone? I must do that

 

I believe said app is only available (legit) to UK based Sky subscribers.

I have it, and it's kinda cool being able to choose cameras etc. Most of the time I just take their main feed though....

I think most here at least, & probably W/W, are prepared to pay (a little) to watch &/or get the "latest" news (?)

Crazy as a March hare on occasion, but sorely missed as you say.

Hopefully, he'll be back.

Same kinda "feelings" re Vizsla disappearing.

Who cares....it's just the internet....I don't understand why anyone takes it so seriously. Get banned? Big deal IMO! Too much juvenile noise? Big deal...ignore or laugh at the stupidity. Viz still posts elsewhere though....probably has more of a life now

no ways... He filled his days with teasing people on here for entertainment, playing mind games day in day out. He wasn't here to reason most of the time. He took a lot of joy for me from this board.
It was an unfortunately rare exception that his truly knowledgeable side came to shine.

Things went sideways last year with the whole pro/anti-Hamilton deal, but Steve had been around for at least a decade and was a true fan of Formula-1. He absolutely contributed positively to the overall dialogue of the section.

 

yep..just checked...he hasn't logged in (as kraftwerk at least) since November...so he's done a runner.

 

I'm stuck on limited data 100mb atm so won't get very far. Think after 100mb I'll start paying 25 cents per mb used. Quali alone will run me into the 100s

Actually scratch that. Googled and seems if I put the quality on low I'll chow around 500mb per hour. Will head to town and get an extra sim today

Kraftwerk spent a good deal of time in 2014 having to deal with a brain tumour that was operated on, and more thank likely eventually came to the conclusion that there were more important things in life to do than spend every evening on Fchat getting into stressful arguments.

Over the years, I've had plenty of run-ins and arguments with him (Senna - Prost at Suzuka 1990 being one of our regular battle topics), but at heart he was always a decent guy. Sadly, as recall, there were plenty on here who took pleasure in baiting him into arguments, almost for the fun of it.

I'd like to see him return as, despite his incredible pro-Hamilton/pro-Senna/pro-McLaren bias, he was always knowledgeable about the sport, and even though we often fought like cat and dog, we always (eventually) could agree to disagree and move on with no hard feelings, and it never became personal between us.


Vizsla is an incredibly well educated, well mannered Gentleman, who, in a battle of wits, can hold his own with just about anyone (and get the better of most!).

I strongly suspect that he eventually came to the conclusion that the infighting, and childish name calling squabbling that the F1 section had degenerated into, was something that he no longer wanted to be a part of.



The F1 section has always been a tough section on Fchat (second only to the "Politics and Religion" section), and not a place for shrinking violets.

Previously though, the discussions, disputes, disagreements, and arguments that took place, were all based on grown up conversations, more often than not supported by actual facts and figures, and carried a much larger degree of respect for each other, rather than the childish bickering, name calling and purely opinion based arguments that seem to have taken over!

Honestly, some of the threads today get to a point where we appear to be one stage away from statements along the line of: "My Dads bigger than your Dad and he's going to beat you up!" - Think that's an unrealistic assessment of the situation? The basics of most of the arguments made in the F1 section these days seem to boil down to:

"My teams better than your team and they're going to beat you!"
"My favourite driver's better than your favourite driver!"
"I'm right and you're wrong! - So there!"

I've also noted that there seem to be far too many members these days who seem to see the baiting and winding up of other members as some sort of sport, as though it's an achievement to be proud of!
It's no longer about about expressing opinions and discussing F1 matters, it's just about trying to push another member into a childish fight! - How grown up is that?



I feel sorry for the F1 Mods because, rather than having to deal with grown ups, all to often they end up having to deal with grown men acting like kids at a kindergarten, arguing and fighting in the playground!

 

I hope both Vizsla and Steve came back......i miss them both...and what we got in return was some very low class and without any knowledge menbers....Things are better now,more calm,more polite, maybe Viszla will reconsider and return....i hope Krafty is ok and that he will also return.
