Now that the season is effectively over, are you less likely to go than if the title were still in contention?

If Ferrari or Mercedes were still in the running, would you be more excited? Did you change your plans after what happened in India?

Let's face it... even the teams themselves have little to fight for except a few more points for some additional cash. It's hard to believe they will go all out at this point until the season is over. Kimi is already checking out at Lotus. They aren't what I would call a "team" anymore at this point. Weber is in his swan song and has been for weeks. Massa vs Alonso? Who really cares.

It's fun to see F1 cars and drivers running but isn't this really more like a exhibition run than a real contest?

Webber has been so disappointing. Should have blown Horner off and won Japan. And if I was him I could have kept going till the car stopped yesterday. So the alternator fails, big whoop. When you let yourself get bullied, you get bullied.

But to answer your question, it's fun to go for the spectacle but it's 100x more interesting when there is a close title battle. I'm glad I didn't book tickets this year.

If it was a close title battle, it would be more appealing to me to see it on TV. You see all the race with repeats, commentary, etc. Since it is not, going in person, walking around, seeing the vendors, hearing the cars is great, since I don't have to be glued to the race every lap. There are some good views, but lots you can't see. Might even leave early to beat traffic.

Except for concerts, TV seems to capture more of the details, but any sports event is fun in person. You just won't see it all while you are there.

GO for the sound and spectacle alone. Next year many seem less than pleased with what sound those motors may produce. Austin appears to have a fantastic track and atmosphere.

The best possible scenario would be for Vettel to suffer car failure in the first lap. Then we'd have an exciting race to watch, with a true battle for podium and not a predetermined procession.

The GP of Botswana will soon take the place of the US GP when it leaves, sooner than later.
