Well, DC's the one that has been crashing into everyone and his brother this season. I think Sato was more worried about DC taking him out than vice versa.

Yup. I really don't. His whole personality totally rubs me the wrong way. I don't even think he is a nice guy, as so many say.

Aww did you get your feelings hurt?

He came in early, as predicted. My comment about lap 5 was tongue in cheek, but I wasn't that far off, considering he came in early AND there were several laps under the safety car.

Just like I said he was light on fuel, and they ran him very light to make a good showing in his home GP.

But I may have been right about your engineering talent being involved with the car - after all, it blew up before it made it home.

Exactly. Everyone knew FA was running very light. Btw, I thought it was kinda funny when FA went off track into the grass on the warm up lap....I guess it even suprised him how light his car was. :D

Congrats to Kimi for another flawless race and congrats to Ferrari for a 1-2!!

He is starting to pout a lot more than he used to in the past whenever the race doesn't go his way.

Well maybe not a light fuel load, but they certainly pushed the limits of the engine to get at the front, only the results were far more disasterous than an early pit stop.

Yup. Spoiled brat comes to mind.

Eddie Irvine called himself the 2nd best driver, realizing his place in the universe. Rubens cried on the podium when he won. Massa starts talking about being the next WDC and that his contract runs many years and that he is not a #2.

You don't have to limit your comment to this season. DC's reputation reaches much further in the rears than that.

I'm starting to believe that Kubica is the real deal. I wasn't convinced at first, but he looks consistent. I'll be interested to see how the next couple of races go for him.

I think it's 3 straight now with Massa, Button, and Glock. It's starting to look like it just might be DC who's the problem.......

+1, the gap between him and Heidfeld is growing pretty fast too.

Just finished watching the race (thank you, DVR!) and I'm wondering if anyone knows why Raikkonen's last pit stop was 9.2 seconds in duration. It looked like everyone was just standing there when the tires and fuel were finished. Varsha and company seemed like they were about to speculate, but then something else happened.

Kimi was held to prevent an accident with Kubica who was in pit lane also.

That's right, and because Ferrari use traffic lights instead of a lollipop it looked like he was just sat there with nobody doing anything for a couple of seconds. A lesser driver would probably have lost their patience and set off anyway, hitting Kubica.

I think Massa has a professional attitude and hasn't shown anything that rubs me the wrong way. He's not a drama queen, doesn't give provocative comments, does the talking on the track. He fits right in together with Kimi. Ofcourse he's hungry for wins and if it doesn't work out as he wants he's allowed to put a sour face and simply tell us where he thinks it went wrong. The field is very competitive and close together so a few places are easily lost. He doesn't have to be nice to be in the top anyway but so far he does seem like a good guy doing his job. Ofcourse this is all viewed from the outside but to think he's not a nice guy IMO is not based on mere observation but on prejudice.

Andreas.....Thats incredible. The things you are saying that turn you off of Massa are seen 10 fold in Alonso plus Alonso shoots down his own team 3 years running now but you still want Alonso taking Massas place at Ferrari......Come on.

If you read the interviews with Kimi and Massa after Australia, it is evident that Kimi accepted responsiobility for his on-track errors and learend from them, Massa on the other hand was in pure denial. So what happens next race? Kimi goes on to win and Massa puts himself out of the race with another unforced error.

One thing I was reminded of during the broadcast was during the Rubens segment: Rubens did everything a #2 should do, support the lead driver, pick up as many 2nd places as possible, finish 2nd in the WDC, and help deliver the WCC to the team. Rubens, for me, was the protoypical #2. He could be counted on to deliver maximum points and when something happened to the lead driver, Rubens was a solid bet to take the win in his stead.

The difference with Massa is you simply never know what is going to happen. He could put in a solid #2 drive as he did in Spain or he could throw away valuable points for the team. Teh fact is that there is simply no excuse this season. The Ferrari is the class of the field and there is no excuse, short of mechanical problems, for Ferrari not to finish 1-2 every race.

Seeing that segment on Rubens made me wish he was still back with the team. All those Massa supporters have failed to establish one simple point: that Massa is doing more with the Ferrari than Rubens did before him.

Except that Alonso produced. Even in the season where he was "beaten", he was still only 1 point away from the championship.

Sound like it was an exciting race. I don't know because I didn't watch it, mainly because Satan possessed my satellite dish. I don't see Speed running a replay on the listings either, wouldn't want to interrupt the NASCAR replays of course. Does anyone know if this is the case or if they will be replaying later in the week. (BTW my initial reaction was not this calm)
