As previously mentioned, this switch remotely opens the exhaust valves at all rpm. Has no noticeable effect on performance. When open (sport)you will hear a loud drone noise at lower rpm that is undesired by many.

Its an aftermarket system (Capristo) that many F car dealers are installing. Had it in my scud.

Eman- thanks for the information from someone that has had it in their own car. It's good to know what has been installed in my Scuderia. I did not notice a drone at low rpm's.

    No problem :)

Just punch it at low rpm, you'll hear it. It's a low bassey sound very different from the high pitch music in the upper rpm range.

Congrats!!! That's a nice bonus to find the exhaust control switch! Although, it would be pretty loud to be driving with the valves open all the time...lol Enjoy in good health!

Steve, you're next! How's the search going?

    Stevely,
Have you checked the one in Newport Beach? That one is a beautiful Scud.

Yeah it's definitely a nice one but it's Rosso scuderia and has a red tach. The blue one is beautiful too but no stripe. Both those items are deal breakers for me. Just trying to be patient until I find close to what I want. Yours is spec'd perfectly so you did very well. Enjoy her!

Rosso Scuderia is a great color as well, but obviously it's apersonal preference. The red tach is easy to replace, right?

Sad photo! I did the same thing. Love the Scud, but I should've kept the RS as well.

Couldn't agree with you more. I've got a good stable. Not letting any of my cars go. Except the daily driver.

No it's actually quite difficult. Red lights up differently at night versus yellow (just the numbers vs. the entire tach). I had red in my F430 and definitely want yellow this time around. To swap them out, F of BH told me that you have to swap out the entire instrument cluster at a cost of about $8k. Ouch.

The reason for asking is that for me, I have not owned a car that I want to keep. I am hoping the Ferrari is a keeper. These are beautiful works of art, and if there is any car to keep it's a Ferrari.

Some people collect art and display it on their wall. I like to drive mine. :D

Did not know that. So, I agree with you on waiting for the right one to show-up.

I just thought you could replace it for $1500-2000. Then, it would be hard to pass a car just because of the color of the tach. How about a white tach??

White tach would be the best! Unfortunately that's a white unicorn that only came standard on the 16m. I agree, at around $1k I would have done it, but at $8k it's just better to wait for the right car. Gawd it's hard sitting on the sidelines.
