I sat in an F12 at the w/e with the carbon backed sports seats and the seats seemed to sit much lower in the car than in my 458 with the same seats. Has anyone noticed this or is it just my imagination? (I do not think there is any hight adjustment available with the sports seats)

I am debating about getting the racing seats in the F12, I believe there is an extra option on top of the cost of the seats that allows you to adjust the height.

I am thinking of going with the standard seats and getting the electric option. I am a bit concerned the racing seats may be annoying on long journeys.

I had assumed that they are vertically adjustable via taking a wrench to the seat supports as in the 458 -- something you do once and forget about.

And for my 2 cents, the F12 seems to be set up more for touring than the 458, so maybe the standard seats are better if you intend to take it on longer trips.

On the F12, if one chooses the CF racing seats, one can also order what is called "racing seat lifter." I was told that adjusts the height.

Ah interesting. I didn't order the racing seat lifter, but I assume this can be retrofitted?

I don't know, I ordered it. I don't know the price, as it was not on the price list. I suppose much can be retrofitted, but the question is always, at what cost?

If the seat is like a scuderia, what I did was to adjust it manually. I removed te whole seat, including the rails, from the car. When the seat is outside of the car, you just have to remove 2 bolts on the front and back. The middle bolt attaching the seat from the rails should be loosened and left in place as the seat can be raised even it attached.

When you have the seat outside of the car, it's easier to turn over the seat and adjust it facing te rails. Then return the seat.

    Took me 45 mins.
