A friend of mine talked to him about the 328, he got it back east.
He works at the Goodyear plant in Topeka. My friend forgot to get his name.
    I have a black 1981 308 GTSi.

I spotted the 328GTS on Sunday evening in north Topeka. It was parked in front of a bank, so no one would park near them (bank was closed for Sunday), diagonal from the pizza place where we were. Turns out the couple that had it were sitting one table over from us. Very average people, I had no clue they had a Ferrari until they drove by when they left. Wonder what they thought of what I said about their car the whole time we were there (all good). That means Topeka has 2 known Ferrari's. A Testarossa and the 328GTS, unless Stephen is from here.

The SN was 59935, had 54,000 miles, and is red/crema.

Hey Stephen, where do you live?

Cool that Topeka is having some Ferraris spotted. I know they're all over the place in KC. I know Wichita has several, but I think more of the culture not to be seen.

I graduated H.S. in Salina and my mom still lives there. A better question might be how many have Ferraris now that use to live in Kansas. :) At Laguna Seca I met a Challenge driver that graduated from Salina South in about 1988. I graduated from Salina Central in 1992. A participant in the FCA event who still lives in Salina had his Lusso that I had the pleasure to drive. Still makes me laugh that at Laguna Seca out of 125 cars, a Lusso, 360 Challenge, and 355 Challenge had Salina connections. :)

Salina is where I saw my first Ferrari in person around 1987. A black Testarossa. <sigh> Love at first sight. Salina at that time had a 328 GTS, Testarossa, and the Lusso. Maybe a few others never known. Today I just know of the Lusso. Tried to get my mom to buy the 328, maybe I'll just be nice and let her borrow it a few years.

I live near Topeka, in the country. Retired and always wanted a Ferrari
and figured it is now or never. A little pushing from a friend that kept saying 'do it before I (him) die' and the memory of my wife's commnet
in 1986 when we just got back from Germany with our 1986 Porsche 944 turbo parked next to a 308 'kinda makes ours look like a frog, doesn't it?!'
    I had to agree.

LOL, my wife and I had a 86 944 turbo back then also and we felt the same way about it vs a 308 too.

Your mentioning Salina, I was there when Steve Fossett completed his around
the world record setting trip and saw a Gold 3?8 as I was leaving the airport.
I was to far away and the stop and go traffic prevented me from getting close enough to make a positive identification. We have been to Laguna Seca
several times for races and always see several Ferraris. The best turn out of
exotics for a race was in Montreal. More Ferrais than I can name and Lambos
form Countachs to Diablo Spyders. But it was not with out incident. During the early evening they were parked out front of the Hard Rock Cafe. A few of the 'revolours' (my word) started droping eggs on the cars. In a matter of minutes all the cars disappered. A case where one bad egg ruins it fo the rest of us. I have since retired don't make to Laguna Seca. In July 1989 I have the dubious distinction of haveing the worst crashes in California Superbike School history at Laguna Seca.
