While I was on my way to go somewhere (can't remember where) I was stopped at a stoplight at the corner of Greenview Shores and Wellington Trace I looked to my right and saw a 308 sitting next to me. THe light turned green and I had to turn so thats all I can say. This happened like 3-4 days ago so I don't remember much about it. I cna tell you it was Rosso Corsa.
Does it belong to anyone on this sight?

    TODAY I saw:

    246 Dino
    Mondial
    308 GTB Fiberglass
    308 GTS QV
    328
    355 Challenge (3 of them)
    360
    360 Challenge
    456 GTA
    550 Maranello
    612 Scageletti
    Testarossa

    and the first

    333 SP

OK, I cheated - a little - since we all met Martin at the track this morning.

However, the truth is that the list of trips where I did not see an interesting vehicle is far, far shorter than the list oof trips where I did not. On my typical 4 mile commute arcoss Boca I usually see at least one Ferrari or other noteworthy vehicle.

Sarcasm gets one no where quick. So James Lightning, seeing any Ferrari on the road is always fun. Thanks for sharing.

I will post the photos of the Ferraris I saw on Sunday shortly. Not to mention the 430, 612, and about 20 others in the last 48 hours.

Ferrari Spotter threads in South Florida are silly.....especially for 308's and all other high productions Ferrari's. In this matter "Sarcasm" is just a nice way of getting a point across.

It's like a spotters thread in Monaco!

I thought the purpose of this site was for those who appreciate the marque to be able to express themselves. If someone sees a Ferrari of any kind and is enthusiastic enough to want to pass on their observation, why not be able to do so without the threat of being slapped down for being excited? We should welcome this enthusiam. It may be coming from a young person, or a novice, not an owner. So is the way to respond to be sarcastic, or to promote their excitement? I choose the latter.

Not all of us have experienced the sight and sound of the more unusual Ferraris that have been built over time, so we are all at different levels. If you think a spotters thread about a 308 in Boca Raton is silly, then don't respond. Say nothing, or praise the individual for their enthusiam toward Ferraris.

I own a Boxer, deciding between an F40 or an EB110 for my next car, but I still turn and look at a 308 whenever I see one.

I'm glad to see people post any thread regarding Ferraris in the Florida section. The more activity the better. By the way, I have no idea who the 308 was. I only know of Sindo (who has a black 308qv) and Gil who recently moved to Charleston, SC.
JamesLightning, I see you live in the West Palm area. If you want to go to some event I will give you a ride to one in my 348 if nobody in my family is going with me. I am planning to go to several events this winter.

Let me make myself clearer, "I thought the purpose of this site was for those who appreciate the marque to be able to express themselves about Ferraris, without concern that someone will ridicule or mock their opinions or thoughts."

There should never be any personal comments or inuendos made about anyone posting. Why would you? You don't have to agree with the message, just don't shoot the messenger. There are dozens of political websites where you can ambush another member.

You have got to be kidding!

How does my post that simply stated "was the 308 red" become a "personal comment or inuendo" ?

I think it is time for you to find another crusade.

Saw a beaten up green VW Rabbit Convertible this morning next to Cafe de Paris next to a Enzo and a 612. Anybody here owns that VW?

Some day, the government will make a law to ban beaten up VW Rabbit convertibles from being on the same streets as Ferraris.

What a great day that will be in America!

Its all a matter of perspective.

In my neighborhood of 1200 homes, we already have 26 Bentley Continential GTs, 4 Porsche Carrera GTS, a few dozen Ferraris and way too many Mercedes and Porches to even consider listing. There are only 3 Honda Civics registered and I am sure that I am the only adult driving one.

It is the nature of the beast in South Florida - we are blessed with being one of the "car lover" centers of the world. As a result, it just seems silly to post a "Spotter" everytime that "I" see something interesting - as I would have to give up my day job to do so. Nary a trip goes by (and like most people mine are rarely more than 5 miles) where I don't see at least one special vehicle (besides the Civic) on the road and I am not even considering the cars awaiting me at my office and in my garage when I get there.

Perhaps us South Florida folks are jsut a bit spoiled and jaded.
