Spotted in Memphis Recently

they have money lol

 

I was in Memphis this weekend and spotted a red 308GT4 in great condition. It was headed East on Poplar at West. I had to roll down the windows so I could listen to it, not often you hear a carbed V8.

 

Maybe its all the NBA players, either that or U of Memphis is real close to probation! A friend of mine in Memphis spotted a Maybach about a month ago. He isn't a car guy and emailed me to see what it was.

 

Memphis has a lot of cool cars. That Maybach belongs to John Daly. I've also seen a rosso barchetta 575, silver 550, and there used to be a red 360CS in my neighborhood. I also know that Lorenzon Wright, of the Grizzlies, has a 612.

 

I was watching "The Daly Planet" on the Golf Channel and saw him pull up to the Olive Branch airport in a Maybach. Quite a fancy ride for a good ole boy.

The red 308 GTS was probably mine, I use it as a daily driver and it spends a lot of time on Poplar Ave. I second what Robert said. Come to the Exotic Car Show on the 18th, its for a worthy cause and there will be lots of nice cars there.

I wish I would've known there was an event, we were in town for a soccer tournament and had a few hours to kill. We were actually driving down Poplar looking for something to do!

 

Just saw the car tonight up here in Dixon, Illinois. John is up here for the Western Open and came on stage with Steve Azar. Next to the tour bus was John's Maybach with the Tennessee Plates "Open 95" which is the year he won the British Open.
