I spotted a red 328 (i think) on harlem and touhy near Brooks Park this past saturday. It was a guy wearing dark shades driving. Anyone here??? I also say a nice yellow lambo VT roadster near some clubs on hubbard... it was quite sweet. That was friday night. -mike
Well,I was just paging through my March '05 issue of 'DuPont Registry of Fine Automobiles'. And,see that there is yet another Exotic Automobile, and Vehicle Store that has popped up in Chicago. It is called "Haute Auto" located at:158 W. Ontario St. (at LaSalle St.) in Chicago. So,maybe they have some Cars around the Downtown Area.... Their Website is: www.hauteauto.com
That would have been me in my 308... and my $10 Target shades. I was visiting Dave B, checking out the progress on his soon to be concourse winning Boxer.
Very nice, that was a very nice day.. I also say an older viper rt10 while on the road. Well nice too see you, and glad the car is getting some exercise! -mike ps. there's nothing wrong with 10 dollar shades! Mine were 5 dollars from some beach front shack in La Jolla, lol.
Too bad for me I have an Oakley addiction that even on my 6th pair makes me look for others. I think starting up the car to get my last pair wasted 5 bucks in gas. RocketBoy
When I rode Motorcycles,I always bought the Cheapest Sunglasses that I could find. Turn around to look at something real quick doing 90MPH on a Harley, and "Whooosh!" There they go!!!! (Or changing Lanes...no mirrors or turn signals on my Bike.... ) Also, kept a pair for a Rider, just in case they didn't have any...
Since this has morphed into a shades discussion: Just bought a pair of Nannini (remember him?) shades from Modena at the Designer store of the MoMa NY. What's so special about them? They can be folded flat.
I used to buy Vaurnets (sp??)... I find that the cost of the shades is inversely proportional to how long they last.... besides, while Ferrari's have amazing performance, I'll put any of them up against my 2 year old, who can destroy a pair of shades in 0.2 seconds flat in ANY conditions.
I just recently started wearing shades this past summer. Up until then I could not find a pair that would fit my head (I guess I have a small head). I found a pair in california so now I'm set. They have no name but kind of look like oakleys but skinnier. -mike
I guess that is what I saw as I went down Ontario Friday evening. I glanced over and saw a MB SLR McLaren sitting inside with the doors up!
