    I've not been successful in getting the EC crew together in the last few weeks. With Hubert on the Weak Coast, Vik in Indonesia, JC whipped, Rob in the can, Ed selling Christmas villages, Noah Layin' pipe, Rene chasing women in Canada, Buttuz buying 911s, Sam suing Merck, Keith hanging with Rehan -- we've all been busy -- it's been hard to bring the crew together. Winter sucks. A$$.

    HOWEVER, this evening, John Li and Chris and I were VERY briefly discussing the turn over of the Spotter's Thread. No consensus was reached, but I have a theory:

    I think that Carbon should turn over the thread after midnight on 12/31 -- whether or not he has spotted an F-Car. Carbon launched the thread last year and he should be the one to start it next year.

    What do you all think?

    Sounds to me like a bunch of EC have had a bit to drink.

    But go for it.

    However, wouldn't it be better to have some sort of event dang near 12/31/04 @ 11:59 so that carbon can retire the thread with say.....20 simultaneous ferrari sightings?

    Perhaps with a final shot from the floor of CC?
    FoCNJ?

    Times square will be too jammed for a drive-though, but haven't we been talking about wall street? maybe in the AM?

    A line of screaming Ferrari down the West Side as seen from the Noah lair?
    might make a great opening shot for "Beyond the quarter-mile: Looping NY!!!!"

    just a thought,

    I don't know what Emil's having but I just had a lunch of Soupe a l'oignon, Poele de St. Jacques et flan de potiron, and a tiramisu aux marrons.

    It was nice, but no fcar sightings yet today...
