New 4 door version(can't remember name) of the Bently Continental GT in Red on I-49 in Opelousas.
at corner of Poydras & O'Keefe...though not the most beautiful car ever designed, one of the most distinctive...a brown Avanti II from the early 70's. It reminded me of the brown Pinto wagon my dad drove in the late 70's.
Came home early from work today to find a yellow Lambo Gallardo convertible in the parking lot of my apartment complex. Two guys standing around it as a young (early 20s) couple got in and drove off. Though I'm a Ferrari guy to the core I must say it was a damn fine car from a tractor maker...and a lot flashier than the Avanti from this morning!
Sunday, black 400A broken down on I-10 West near Little Woods exit. One pop up headlight up, one down. Driver, disheveled due to high windspeeds of 18-wheelers roaring by, ranting and raving on cell phone with wife. Heard to scream 'Every f....ing tow truck driver is at the Bacchus parade, why can't I catch a break, why didn't I stop when the oil pressure dropped, why why why.
Ahhh, you're the black 400 owner. I actually went out of my way to ride next to you with the windows down to hear that sweet 12 a few months ago by the Besy Buy on Vets! LOL!! Sorry to hear of the trouble. Hope it isn't serious! Dave
New oil cooler and hoses. One of the headlights won't go down which is irksome to me but shouldn't be because at age 55 if i'm still worried about how I look, I'm an idiot. Anyway, this thing should cost about 5K a year to maintain. For 2007, I'm at like 2400 and it's only February. The cooler hose blew first, then a week later the unit went. First time I threw 8 quarts; when the unit blew on I-10, I threw 10. Picked it up on Thursday and mechanic joked probably no need for me to change oil routinely anymore, the car does it for me. 'Just change the filters every once in a while and you'll be fine,' he said.
Good to hear. Very nice car, BTW! I've always had a soft spot for the 365/400/412's. And from what I've heard, those 12's are like chevy small blocks when it comes to durability. Now if I can just convince the wife we need to trade in our BMW for a 23 year old car! Dave
I am loving it. It is amazing how much attention it draws. It gets a lot more looks than my Corvette did. Also, my kids like because I can bring and pick them up from school in it. With two kids that was not possible in the Corvette.
WOW! I'm really proud of you for coming out with your extreme fetish for midget transsexuals! BRAVO SIR!!! Dave
Been seeing a yellow Diablo Roadster out in the Kenner area lately. Something just doesn't look right about it, though. Prepared to toss the POS kitcar flag. Anybody see it and/or know if it's real or not?
If it's the one driven by an older man then I've been wondering too. Something about it just does not look right but it has "that sound" that makes me think it's real.
Got your message a bit late Leaving for France tomorrow but will be back March 10th. Holla atcha boy!
Yeah, older guy, turning onto Yenni from Williams. Just something not right about it. Seems ride height and proportions are way off! Dave
Regarding the possible Diablo, a co-worker of mine saw a yellow Lambo near the French Rivera Spa on Vets, likely the same car but he couldn't tell whether its real or not. I just heard (then saw) from 31 flrs up John H in his 430 heading up Poydras.
