EB, Great stuff, thanks! My son and I like the wall mounted 333 SP body; gotta get one of those for our den. Frank, You inspired a new game...Dead Nameplate Spotting...today I spotted a lovely red Olds Alero and an even rarer yellow Plymouth Prowler.
Funny thing about the internet is that you can make fun of someone's mother and then follow it with a " " and all is good!
My seven year old son spotted the RS today in the parking lot of Whole Foods in Metairie LA. Good thing, because I walked right past it.
Silver Olds Alero getting off I-10 at St. Charles Ave Aug 25 @ 1820 last night. Oh and also a Red 360 in front of Emeril's.
My 7yr old spotted a black Aston Martin in Kenner. He was quite happy with himself as his mother had no idea what it was.
The Alero's are everywhere up here. Also a yellow viper this morning on Millerville Rd. and a Ferrari 360 at Spectrum Fitness on Perkins Rd.
Wife spotted a Maserati in Kenner today. Sorry no Alero's or maybe I just need to train my eyes to look for them ;-)
Dark grey Lotus Elise on Tchoupitoulas. It had goldish, maybe bronzeish, wheels that looked pretty good with the grey paint. No known near misses with a dead nameplate, well other than the kid hauler/wife driven Olds minivan. Yep Frank, you got a couple of prancing horses to view at your leisure and I get to park next to unpopular ancient history; proof this is not a just world but gives reason to the existence of beer. Cheers!
Time and place for RED BLUFF RALLY I am thinking if we meet 7:30 AM at Starbucks Coffee @ 3601 Highway 190 # D, Mandeville, LA (985) 626-5234. We leave Starbucks about 8:00AM that will put us up at Red Bluff about 9:30 AM. We can meet anyone up there who goes straight to the Bluff at the overlook. We start running Red Bluff road @ 10:00AM a few times and meet for lunch in Monticello @ the high dollar Pizza Inn about 11:30AM. This will allow us to beat any traffic as many are in church. Then everyone can go their own way or run the road some more. Any ideas or suggestions are more than welcome. Don't you guys have AC in those Ferraris? ;-) I picked Sunday September 9th because it didn’t conflict with any SCCA races or Track days. If any of you know Coco he may bring his 328GTS Turbo or the Lambo.
Ok, so now we are going to be meeting at the IHOP restaurant @ 325 N Highway 190(that is south of I-12), Covington, LA (985) 893-4885. Sunday September 9th at 7:00AM we will be trying to roll out at 8:00AM sharp.
It is actually just north of i-12. I'll have to try and stop by and see what is out there. I saw the dark red 355 again today by Covington City Hall.
It was a best guess as Google map shows it south of I-12. I am going to Money Hill Saturday so I will pass by and find some landmarks and a GPS waypoint.
It is in the building Shoney's used to be in. It is in front of Books A Million, You turn in at the Red Light next to the interstate. Its easy to find.
Trailered black Gallardo@ a car show in Lake Charles, 2 more at Laubuerge in the valet....No idea why the guy had his trailered
A red 360 coupe on I-12 near Denham Springs this morning in some fairly heavy rain. Yesterday I saw a Dodge truck with a Lambo shield on the back glass and a Lambo bull on the side glass with some type of powerboat insignia underneath; perhaps a Lambo powered speedboat is somewhere around the area?
