Doesn't Mercedes own Smart ?

 

What is frightening is that sales are off so much even though some stores are down 100% (i.e. closed). Thus, if those closed dealers were still open and competing for customers the sales would be even lower for the currently open dealers.

Any "store closing" deals on R8s?

I went to Brian Harris in Baton Rouge last week and they were singing a different tune. The guy told me they had a banner month for Audi and Porsche sales this November. He may have been blowing smoke, but he didn't really have any reason to do so. And the Audi line up is damn strong with the new A4's coming out now... On the Porsche side the guy was a bit worried about their increasing interest rates - he said they were forecasting 12.9% floor plan rates. Yikes.

 

It doesn't seem like Louisiana is a place where many people buy Porsches or Audis.

 

Most sales people are just blowing BS anytime they open their mouth. It's the only job i know where a pathological liar is considered a good thing. That and politician.

 

Very true. I cam always tell when both are lying though. Their lips are moving

 

Paul, is your wife finally gonna make you get rid of that old car that makes you smell of gas when you drive it and get a real car? Porsche's have working air conditioners too!

 

I tried to sell it but the only offer i got was from Frank. Said he would pay for the tow truck to haul it off as long as he got the scrap value.

 

The price of aluminium is down right now, you will have to give me $10 toward the tow truck fee.

 

I found a roll of dimes when I was picking up cans in the parking lot behind the Dollar General so you got a deal Frank!

 

Great !!! I will get the tow truck out there tomorrow!!

 

Red 430 in Perkins Rowe on Saturday.

 

I saw a white 355 Spyder when I was driving back from Charleston, SC last week.

 

I saw Rulolph the Red Nosed Reindeer today on Causeway (see the antlers and nose...)

Also saw a Bentley yesterday uptown and a Maserati the day before in the CBD.

I saw a Prius done up with the nose and antler treatment the other day. horrible. now we know who buys ugly Christmas sweaters

 

Is that some set they actually sell? I'd never seen it before. I just kept staring in my rearview mirror and wondering why the car behind me had a red ball on the hood. When I noticed the antlers I finally figured it out.

 

I was on Magazine St. last Saturday parking my car, and heard a loud exhaust sound from the street. Looked up and saw a white Ferrari with numbers / decals on it going by. Hurried to the corner to see up the street, could still hear it half a block away! Couldn't see what model, but was at idle and loud!

 

Should have checked back a few posts, saw this last Saturday, duh!

What looked to be an Azzuro F50 heading east on I-12 today while I was going west, so no pics.

 

F50???

I know there used to be an Azzuro F50 years ago in the Houston area but it was repainted back to its original red.

 

Saturday at about 3:15 pm a red F430 with dealer plates on I 10 West @ Clearview.

 

I've been told that the guy in Baton Rouge that owns the enxo, F40, F50, etc... has a MClaren F1 in that color. I bet that is what I saw. It was moving fast, and I was going in the other direction so couldn't look too long.
