Rarified company? Try "bottom feeder", in my case. I know 4-5 local Lusso owners by name, and none have a personalized license plate.
I am currently on a project at nVidia in Santa Clara and the CEO here has a black 612 Scaglietti - it is his daily driver. A VP here has a Carrera GT - I've seen it just once though.
Your car sounded amazing, I had just gotten back from a group drive with 969 motorsports. You should go next time, its real fun. Do you have stock exhaust on the 360?
Lamborghini Countach, two maseratis and a red Ferrari 355 all following each other off of Shiloh in Windsor. I saw the Countach later on parked in front of the Zin in Healdsburg later tonight and got a few pictures. Beautiful car really.
2 360 Coupes (Red/Tan), 1 CS, & 1 430 coupe parked across the street from Alice's on Skyline this morning - beautiful cars! SROC4 - nice meeting you! Sorry I couldn't stick around and chat longer, but we were getting ready to head out. To the owner of the CS - I was behind your car as you were backing into your spot there, and your exhuast sounded different than I recall a CS sounding...almost like valvetap, only coming from the exhuast vs. the engine. Everything okay? Aaron
I think it's OK, but thank's for the heads up. I was going to take it in next week for an alarm update anyway so I'll ask them to take a look. Alex - I think you were behind me quite a bit, was there anything odd?
Saw a total of 3 Fcars today (besides our group) Red Testarossa and Red 348 during the drive (opposite direction) Red 360 Spyder on 280 in (Daly City area) while heading back to the city. Aaron - it was nice meeting you too. Some of those Vettes were F'ing INSANE!!!
Thanks very much... I had my dad along for the ride - he was in town from Atlanta for the weekend, and is a true car nut as well... It was nice to see your group up at Alice's as well, because I was afraid the only Fcars we'd see all weekend would be either at SVAG or FoSV. It's always a treat to see (and hear) them on the road. Re: the Stradale - I hope I'm not out of line by mentioning what I *thought* didn't sound quite right, but those of you with these cars know them inside and out, and I could have easily been wrong. My memory of the only other CS I'd heard run was that it had a loud "growl" at idle. When behind you yesterday, I heard what can only be described as a "metallic" or "tinny" sound from your exhuast, but that could be just the way it is... It sounds like you're having it checked out anyway, so if it winds up to be nothing, I wouldn't give it a second thought. I would just hate to think that something *could've* been wrong, and I never said anything to anyone about it.
Definitely not out of line, thanks for thinking to mention it. I remember many years ago, before low profile (less than 50 profile) tires were commonly available, I had a guy pull up next to me and yell across to me "your rear tire looks low". Since I had just checked it at the last fill-up, I thought everything was fine and said "thanks, but they're low profile, they're supposed to be like that". So he just shrugged and drove away. Of course, once someone mentions it, you think to take another look and sure enough there was a nail and the tire was already half down and still dropping. I dropped the car off this morning and put it on the "squawk" list. We'll see what they say.
Yo Perfusion, its good to talk to you on this forum. I'm the guy setting next to your dad at lunch yesterday. Just registered on this forum yesterday. Nice to meet you all, my name is John, and I have a Silver Corvette C5.
passed a Carrera GT last night (wednesday) on the freeway by san rafael heading north, about 6pm-ish! I love that car, and at dusk, in black, it looked like a spaceship! there was also a charcoalish 430 parked next to an orange gallardo at the sonnen porsche dealer parking lot.
10/27:Red 360 with black rims at Santana Row, very mean looking car. Also a gorgeous grey 550(?) with tan interior parked at the 76 gas station at the corner of Stevens Creek/Bubb in Cupertino. Is that anybody here? Would be nice to know because I don't know very many Fcar owners in this area.
I'm not really a Pcar guy, in that I don't know much about makes/models. But I parked next to Black 996TT ? (turboS) with a Gembella Kit on it. I parked and the owner was just getting out and I commented on such a sweet ride.
