Any pictures of the Italian Show at El Dorado? I had to leave early. Sadly, I saw a CS just driving in as I was walking away to head up to Tahoe. MDS
I didn't go yesterday due to work, but I went today and there were about 6 or 7 cars. I heard there were a lot more in attendance yesterday. The CS is owned by a member here. I'll post some photos that I got today in a bit... -Gil
Gil Good to see you today also and thanks for the kind words about the 550. I will try to get some pictures of mine up but Gil's will be the ones worth waiting for. Ed
Nice shot! A friend posted a shot of the same car on my Facebook page today. It was in Belmont at the time. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Middle of nowhere on 101 yesterday. Ferrari 360 gaining slowly. I was in the Boxster. Drove along side us for about 10 min, then right before exiting he roared past us into a corner at about 100. It was symphonic. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Spotted at the Italian festival in Reno last weekend. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
For some reason, my computer is not reading my SD card so I am unable to share my photos. However, Mike (XSSSIVE) sent me photos from Saturday at the Italian Festival. They can be seen here: http://www.highoctaneevenings.com/galleries.html -Gil
Thanks for posting the pictures Ed. I'm glad we got to chat for a little while just before you left on Sunday. Nate (Rosso 360 with the decals)
Well, I guess I missed you at the Festival. There were so many people. I was the last Ferrari to leave. Next time. Nate
I know! I was pretty bummed. I looked at your car for a while; love what you've done with it. Hope to see you at least once before next year's festival... -Gil
black FF, orange mclaren MP412C, DBS Volante, Ford GT and a couple Veyron's heading south @Bush & Market st around noon today...anyone know what they were up to? Was too far to read the small round sticker on the doors.
Dear NYC Ferrari owners: My name is George Avgerakis (Quasimotor). I am a feature writer for Forza Magazine. I have been assigned to write an article about NYC Ferrari owners and I am asking all of you to consider being a part of this article. There is, of course, no pay, but you will likely get a nice photo of your car, and be able to include the article in your car's historical papers (Some say that having your car in a magazine like Forza adds value - I don't know about that.) While the text of the article will mostly be recorded interviews with you, either in person or over the phone, I anticipate that there will be a photo session for the purpose of assembling all the NYC cars (gosh - how many do you think you are??). Perhaps we'll get enough that the Mayor's Office of Film and Television will give us a permit to use a famous NYC location (I'd be interested in your favorites.). No doubt if this comes off well, Forza will do follow up articles (do you recall Playboy's "The Girls of Dartmouth?) in other key US (and foreign?) cities. I consider it an honor that Forza was willing to make NYC the first. So how about it? I know there are several camera shy New Yorkers with swell cars, who never do an article, but certainly there are a lot of you who would jump at the chance to be chosen. I need to hear from you! Simply write me an email with your name, contacts, year and model and if you like, one sentence telling me something special about your car and what it's like to own it in the Big Apple. My deadline is one month, so don't delay. I will try to get everyone into the article in some way - which may be a promise I will find impossible to keep, but hell, I'm willing to try. Many thanks to all - even you shy ones who will not reply. George Avgerakis Quasimotor
I would've posted this sooner, but I've been out of town so it's been kind of hard to post. This past Friday, I saw a black Lamborghini Murcielago LP-670 SV turning into Caughlin Ranch. Never seen that car in Reno before. 1 of 350 SVs in existence. -Gil
I think I saw this same spider at Meadowood yesterday. Also spotted yesterday two red 430 coupes together heading southbound on Silverado Trail around 1:30pm. I was in my CS and waved.
Actually only 186 SVs were built, so that makes it even more special . By the way I just got your PM, the system did not notify me of it.
Really? That's interesting. At Concorso Italiano in Monterey this year, there was an orange SV with the door open and a plate on the interior said "Lamborghini Murcielago LP-670SV 1/350." No problem. I still have the photo so if you'd like, I'll send it your way. -Gil
Nope. You saw mine at Meadowood. Looks almost identical but mine has grigio ferro rims while these look black(?)... SV
Ahhhh!! It looked very nice. Loved the white strip in the sport seats. I should stopped to say hi to the group but was preoccupied. My CS was parked in front of my room at Meadowood and a red 458 did a quick drive by to get a look.
Yesterday (Oct 28), I was sitting in my living room and heard the familiar roar of a 430 with exhaust valves open and watched a beautiful black F430 spider drive by my house. He lifted on the downhill before downshifting and the burbling was epic.
