Red Jag XK 120, looked nicely restored, heading South on 280 around Sand Hill Road about noon. Plate 'XK NUT'.
Light silver metallic (don't know the official name - Argento Nur., Titanium, etc.?) 360 Coupe w/ Challenge grille W-bound on 92 just outside of HMB. Red/white stripes Viper GTS about 10 cars later.
good day for car spotting..i saw the red/silver stripes on 280 going north..in no particular order,as i drove my 308 around stanford /woodside.. first silver solstice i've seen on street[driven by a cute girl of course],i got sanwiched between a tt porsche and a db9 near golfcourse [both headed towards stanford shopping center]...lotus seven on arastradero [bearded owner all gloved and goggled up-managed a wave.i'll bet he was freezing],,white/red body lettering carrera rs [i think it was real] on 280 south .. green morgan flat rad on woodside road...late 60's abarth zagato [red] leaving stanford campus... restored white camaro convert w/orange hood panels on foothill expy ..odd and assorted 360's ...fab 60's corvette fresh with red paint...you know, a typical sun afternoon ride.
Just got home from my drive and not only did I see several Fcars, I also saw two fellow fchatters. Hwy1 Northbound: Red 355 Coupe (gave me a thumbs up), Black 328 (did not say hi) and black ZO6 (new one). While on 92E I saw Arun (Baasha) and Mike (Software) parked with some modified NSXs in the parking lot by the 92/35 junction. Ended up going with them to Stanford Mall after. Also saw a silver/gray Solstice on 92E - guy driving.
LOL! Didn't even think about it at the time I think they ran into Mike's old NSX buddies while they were on their drive, and ended up going for a run together. The NSX guys actually went their own way when I saw them on 92.
Forgot to mention: I also saw a red 360 spyder with 19" HRE's on University. I think he joined one of Arun's drives before.
I saw my friend Victor in his 360 spider as i came home on the same street. somehow he missed the email to come ont he drive. --Dan
Red 348 on Green Valley Road (El Dorado Hills) Sunday afternoon on my way to lunch. Spoke with him for a bit, sounds like he will be a new member of our driving group when the weather gets better. Said he puts 10-15k miles on the 348 per year. No cats, plus had some exhaust brand I've never heard of...sounded pretty sweet.
Sunday 3pm. Red 308 on HWY 1 North, near Pacifica. Gave me a wave, and I waved back (I was in the F355).
Arun and I decided to go take a drive. So we started out from the Stanford shopping center and went up into the hills. We stopped at some stop to relax for a few minutes, and about 5 NSX's rolled up to the stop sign in front of us and saw me. They all pulled into the rest area and we talked a while. We told them we were headed in a certain direction and they were headed the same way, so they joined us for a few miles, then headed back to wherever they were meeting that day. What are the odds? Then, when we were just leaving another stop, we see a Modena rolling up to a stop sign in front of that place, and it was Alex! I think I'm going to buy a lottery ticket today...
I see a F-car around Palo Alto maybe once every 3 months. On Sunday, I saw a red 360 on Alameda de las Pulgas (I was in my 430) and a Silver 360 spider with black top up on El Camino Real heading north through Atherton (not in my 430).
What looked to be a red slr, I didn't catch it well so maybe I am wrong? Never heard of or seen a red one around. On El Camino, as I was SB from Burlingame maybe a half-mile south of Park. --Dan
