Our idiot landscapers here at work spray painted the tops of their sticks orange (for outlining of the parking lot for snow removal). 2 were by my brand new Miata and now I have the tiniest of dots on half my car as the wind blew it on my car and rear window. How do I go about removing them? Would a clay bar work? I put the car in storage and can't get it out until April 1st. The spray happened Friday and I put the car to bed Sunday and when I was at the pump putting in my Sta-Bil is when I noticed the tiny paint particles.

Try a wax with cleaner first. E.g. Mother's.

Same thing happened to my car while parked outside, but they were spray painting a building. Painter paid for clay bar and detailing, and it came out fine.

Gentle wipe with soft cloth soaked in mineral spirits. Quick bath with original Dawn to remove any petroleum products. Thorough rinse with good clear water. If needed, re-apply "wax," if prior finish coating was something susceptible to the spirits of detergent.

If your car can't hold up to that treatment? It shouldn't be let out of the garage, as it probably sees much worse conditions on a daily basis. Leave it in the museum. :)

Claybar will shear the poorly prepped paint specs from the surface. If you keep wax on your car it will be easy to remove.

Clay bar. If that doesn't work use WD-40.

Am I reading this right? You're not going to address this issue until April? If s that's a really bad idea.

Use clay bar ASAP. If you drop the clay bar on the ground, trash it,it will pick up dirt etc and will ruin the finish. Edward
