    When you are on a plane and order a drink , do you tip the stew? Some times I see people do this and I was wondering what others do.

    Please call them Flight Attendants, as that is proper.

    Ps; I do not tip a Flight Attendant, but on the way out, I always make sure that I thank them for their service.

    I don't fly that much, maybe once a year, but I've always tipped for booze (not for soft drinks). It's never been refused!

    i call them Space Waitresses. :) i used to semi-werk with them, they didn't seem to mind... the 10th+ time. :eek:

    "I am NOT a waitress, I AM a Flight Attendant!! Now would you like chicken or beef for dinner?"

    Edit: to answer the original question, I don't usually as they are working for a little more than the minimum wage that most waitresses or waiters are.

    I have never seen a stewardess who would accept a tip. They have always politely declined--I wouldn't doubt that there are some harsh repercussions they could face if turned in. I recently flew on AirTran and they didn't even accept cash for drinks. You had to charge them.
