I had 5 Sliders at a posh wedding this weekend in your neck of the woods. The brides dad had them made for a late night snack to go along with the piano player (singing Billy Joel and Elton and such) that he had flown in from San Diego. The wedding was insane..... What is with you Flatlanders and your need to clog an artery??

Here's a "Spotted" from my Son. Tues.? Night, maybe around 5PM. Northbound Kirk Rd. in Geneva/St.Charles. Black 328. (Yes. We bet that it was Tod.... ) Today, we stopped by Fox Valley Motors. Man, what a nice selection of goodies they have!!! Lots of the new Lil' Lotus Elises, in just about every color available. Junior wishes that he was 8 years older. Senior wishes he was 100+ lbs. lighter.... They have a Silver Diablo SV. A Burgundy/Tan Diablo Roadster. The White/White Countach is gone. It went to Alaska! They also have a few New Murcielago's, Gallardo's, Espirits and Vipers, too. One Red 360 Coupe inside. And lots of other cool cars. They still have the Goldie Hawn Mondial cabriolet. We took a look at it. Besides being a little dirty from sitting outside all of the time, it doesn't look like a bad car. I mean, it is 16 years old.... Freshly serviced....
Didn't happen to see a bright green Elise with a carbon fiber driver's seat and racing harnesses in it in the lot, did you? They've had my car up there for 3 weeks now... hoping to pick it up tomorrow.
Why, yes we did! I told my Son that if I ever got him one of those, it would have to be Bright Green or Orange, so that other cars could see him in that teeny little Go Kart car.... Man, those little guys have got to be FAST! I was talking to Isaac, one of the Salesmen. And he was telling me that they had a Lotus Driving Exxperience with Lotus from England, with the Elises. I wonder if they had any Exiges, too? That would be cool to check out sometime. Me? Not until I slim down a tad.... I could not even THINK about squirmin' my big ol' self into one of those.... And, even IF I did, I'd have to live in it... I'd never be able to get out.

Wed. afternoon, saw a really nice old Red '73 Corvette out and about. I tell you. In my opinion, (yeah, I am a Corvette lover too) these cars are looking more and more "Exotic" year after year....Considering that the "Exotic" cars, and the newer Corvettes, are looking less and less Exotic, and more generic year after year.... Yesterday aroond 1:00PM, we saw a dark blue Plymouth Prowler headed Eastbound on Norh Av. by Kirk Rd. in St.Charles. Those are cool little cars. They stopped making them a few years ago. But maybe they should make a Limited Edition with that new Chrysler Hemi in it.... Then we saw a Red Lotus Elise, with top off, yesterday headed Eastbound on Roosevelt Rd., crossing Summit Av. in Oakbrook Terrace at 5:15PM.

It is utterly brilliant! A master piece I have to say. It gives you all the reasons why I had to leave that country. Also it shows the Horlacher Egg (see my post #58 in this thread), Rinspeed, Monteverdi and Sbarro. Even a Supersbarro on Testarossa basis. And it ends with some footage from Payerne Military airport where Clarkson has to wait for the fighter jets to go by. Exactly the same thing happened to me, when I was stationed there as part of my Army assignment. Anyway, a hilarious video. And true in every word. Did I mention I love the US?

Were you out and about in that area at all this morning by chance? If so, you'd probably have seen My Son and I in our Red 308 cruising around Oakbrook and Hinsdale, then stopping to visit some friends in the area. And then stopping for some pix at Graue Mill and Fullersburg Woods.
Tthat's unfortunate. I live about 15 minutes from you and have yet to see your 308. Maybe I should swing by your house...
Just keep yer eyeballs peeled....I'm always driving around the area. And, when the Cruise Nights come. I also cruise through Downers Grove on Friday Nights, usually with my son. There are other Ferrari's and Exotics that go there, too. And If I can find a spot to park. I stay and walk around a little. And there are some really good Restaraunts there along Main St. But I like the little Pizza Place on Curtiss St.
ya the resturants on mian street are really good. iv been to the majority of them . ill try to be there a friday night to see some cars. what other exotics are there usually?
