Spring Ferrari Drive in GTA.

Hi everyone,

Lets organize the first drive for the year. I would like to book it for May 11th. Let me know who is interested in attending and what your car you will be bringing. For this drive I was thinking of executing our traditional schedule - we meet up for breakfast at 8:30am and then go out for a couple hours. By noon were done. Hopefully by the 11th, the weather has settled down and we won't get hit with rain (or snow - who knows).

Look forward in hearing from everyone.

May 10th - I forgot Mothers Day was the 11th.

We have quite a few cars lined up - including a $750,000 Lambo Roadster.

 

$750,000 Lambo Roadster????......did they throw in a Ferrari F430 in the deal when the Lambo was purchased?

 

even if its an LP640 Roadster, its not worth that much... must be something special then hah

 

Thanks for reminding me Rick. i'd love to host the first drive of the spring. i'll spend the next couple of weeks finalizing the route but it will be spectacular, i promise. maybe you guys could post to give me some kind of idea regarding turnout and the hospitality will be will be compliments of Gran Turismo. i thought we could meet up here around lunch time, have some intro's, a bite to eat while you guys stretch your legs ( it will likely have been an hour on the road for most of you ), and then out through the countryside for an hour or two. back by mid afternoon for a BBQ and a couple of beers. whoever needs to be home for dinner can take off after that and whoever wants to stick around is more than welcome. whoever wants to get their car on the lift can come up a little earlier. please let me know at your earliest convenience so i can plan the food/booze 'spread' accordingly. friends and family welcome. thanks,

thanks James, let the whining begin...
it is only a full hour from the city itself, like Bathurst and Lakeshore. if you're already north of downtown it will be less. 40 minutes from the 400/407 exchange. the thing is though, the ride up can offer some really, really beautiful scenery, if you pick the right route. if you'd like to come up a different way then 400 north, PM me and i'll give you a nice route take whether your coming from Markham, Mississauga, Milton...wherever. Airport rd., Hwy 50 or 27, Hwy 9...
it's all good...by the way, for those that don't know, Alliston is 20 minutes Southwest of Barrie and 20 minutes Northeast of Orangeville.
as far as whining about the date, please forward complaints to BigRed...he chose it. : )
all kidding aside, lets see how that weekend 'works' for people and reserve the dropdead date until then. don't forget it is the only weekend between May 24 and the GP, but i really only see it as a 6 hour type commitment.

good to hear. as of now, Saturday May 31st and provided there aren't a ton of conflicts, we'll roll with that.
BUT, if you do have a conflict, let me know and maybe we'll reschedule. i'm easy.
