Why don't we have 16?! I have another confirmed with another coming around the horn. Including myself...I have 4. <e>Anyway to go to the full track at this time? Or is there any early commitment? By the time March rolls around...I'm sure we'll have 16 easy. Assuming 1 or 2 have to bug out...we could split that over the remaining participants.</e>
There is a lot of cash at stake that Richard has to commit to. Unless people send a check in advance I wouldn't take that risk upon myself either.
We have to have 16 confirmed prior to scheduling. I cannot schedule until 30 days prior to the event, so nothing is set in stone yet. Sunday 3/25 is still open I believe for the full track. We need close to 20 to make sure we have 16 show up. If not the price goes considerably. It does not matter to me except I have to leave a deposit. So far we have 14 and have 3 weeks before we can sign up. If you want to do the full track I may require payment up front so we know we will get 16 minimum. The last 3 years we've had 8 - 12 drivers just to give you an idea. Just so everyone is aware (if it realy matters) that trophy will be presented to FOC members only. Ok...well I'm hoping for the big track. Payment upfront won't be a problem. Just let us know the details and I will shake down the people I am bringing. It looks like we have 15ish with SpyderGirl. So, I don't think coming up with 20 will not be a problem. I will shake down a few others...may have 2 other possibilities. I don't think any non-FOC people will have a problem with not receiving a trophy. All of the satisfaction will be gained on the track.
I will have to commit in 2 weeks. From the looks we are still on for Saturday 3/24 for the small track. Unless we get 5 or 6 more commitments I will sign up for Saturday. I would love to go with all of you except for the fact that I might be competing in the team endurance race on 3/25!! So it's either this or that.....and we've been planning the team one for a while.
Ok...what's the deal? It looks like we have 15 right now. Are we shooting for the 2 tracks? Also, what's the deadline for any deposit and what is the amount and pay to for the cashola?
I have been out of town the last week. Still out of town. Snowed in at Alta, UT! I did receive an e-mail from Chicago Indoor Racing. It has been posted already on the FOC website for the 3/24th. The full track is not available for that day. We will see how many actually show up this year and if we get a good turn out we will shoot for the full track next year. I will have more info when I return tomorrow, but payment is up to the individual on the day of the event. The date is still on the 24th. Time will be anounced, but between 2 and 4pm.
Ok, we are on for the 24th. Single track. Arrival 2:30 pm Briefing 3 to 4pm Racing 4pm Everyone will get 3 qualifying races. Top 10 qualify for final race. Payment will be up to the individual at arrival to the facility. $80/person.
FOC Midwest sponsors 3 beautiful trophies for the first three. Regardless whether you're a club member or not, any participant qualifies. I got the trophies last night; I think they're really kewl.

Richard is the organizer of the event and based on the count it looks like seats are selling out. I believe 20 is the limit. However from past experience I'd say just show up: There is always somebody who doesn't make it and it is hard to imagine CIR would turn down a paying customer.

I do think 20 is the limit, but I will try and confirm that. Everyone must go through the briefing at 3pm on the 24th. Because there is no deposit or commitment, the spots will be held for those who are commited on this thread. If you are on the list you're spot will be held until 3pm on the day of the event. After that it's first come first serve. Please let me know if there are changes to the list.
Thanks, we are down for 12 participants. I can add up to the day of the event, but can decrease only up to 7 days before the event without penalty. I have not received a reponse as to the max. I don't think we will have more than 20, so if you are not on the list let me know asap. If there are any changes to the above list please let me know.
