Got my 308 out today and brought it home. Just a little bit of dusting and cleaning too. Ready for a long ride. Removed the Shields from the front fenders. Came off real easy. Used a hair drier to warm up and they pulled off pretty easy.
Thinking about installing new shocks and lowering the car 2 inches. My mechanic wants me to do this. Car would look and handle better but I really hate to break the front again. The thing is, I am worried about tearing apart my front spoiler on bumps. I got it caught on a high piece of asphalt at Road America once. That was terrible. All I could see was a shower of red fiberglass and heard a loud crunch. Kind of makes for a bad day after that.

Shields are controversial. But I don't think anyone disagrees they look good in the bar room/study/man cave, etc.

For my benefit, don't work on it, drive it. Mine is in pieces and I'm on the road right now so I can't work on it. It was 70 degrees and gorgeous in Houston today.

Don't lower the car unless you live in a flat area. Here in NY, my car gets alot of scrapes from poor roads. I don't think you'll notice it on a daily drive unless you track. In which case, all bets are off and lower it for better performance.
