Spring rate paint stripes

Does anyone have photos of Dino springs front and rear that show the original spring rate paint stripes? I've seen yellow rear stripes and red front stripes that are about a thumb width wide and go down four-five of the coils, but I can't find any photos anywhere showing this detail. What kind of paint is best to repaint these? I'm assuming just brushing them on would get close to what was done originally (e.g. they were sloppy .
