    Hello all.

Looking for some advice on my upcoming spring service.

I have an '05 430 F1 that I picked up at the end of last summer. It has 10k miles on it. I do have some service records.....but I am having some trouble piecing together the exact timing of the previous fluid / filter changes.

I would like to establish a new baseline, having ALL fluids and filters replaced this spring.

Which fluids and filters would you recommend having changed?

    I was thinking:

    - oil / oil filter
    - brake fluid
    - air filters
    - F1 trans fluid / filter

What about coolant, and power steering? Is the rear differential fluid shared with the F1 trans or separate?

Thanks for the input, and sorry for what is probably a naive newbie question.

won't hurt to do all the fluids since you have a patchy record it seems.
timing belt was done how long ago? if it was like 4 or 5 years I'd do it too
I personally skimps on air filters, i just clean them with the air gun and its good for another few months. last time I replaced it was like 2 years ago

I would do it all. Never damaged a car to have clean fluids. Also, IF you store the car for the winter, would be good to move the fluid service to the fall prior to storage. Contaminants in the fluids are bad for the engine. You do not want the car sitting all winter with contaminants working on the internals. Degradation of clean fluids over the winter in an engine that is not started is minimal. So, if you do not start the engine for lets say 5 months, on average you have much cleaner fluids.

As a pre-emotive comment, I have seen spring v fall debated on other forums. Anyone doubting the advice should just do a google search. Ignore forums and look at trusted sources (oil manufacturers, engine manufacturers - places with engineers). Advice is pretty consistent.

Good luck with the car and happy motoring. I am in Chicago and looking out the window, hard to believe the car will come out of the garage in a few weeks.

Transaxle is separate and needs changed annually. With a cat on each side it cooks the oil.

There are a number of threads on coolant here, not aware of any debating power steering fluid. You can search them but basically, as the other have said, change the fluids. It doesn't cost much more and it can save you a lot of surprise expense.
