    Has anyone gone to see the Sprint Boat races in St. John or elsewhere?

    I realize the Griot's lunch and cruise is that day as well. But I've wanted to see Sprint Boat races for a long time after first seeing video of them in New Zealand years ago, and this is as close as it gets to Seattle. Anyone else going to this next weekend?

    If you do not know about Sprint Boat racing, in simplest terms it is an insane high speed autocross on water. The boats have a roll cage because, well, if you catch a corner you tumble pretty good!

    We were going to watch them at Albany, Oregon but it was too hot.

    There is zero shade, as the "track" is made by bulldozing ditches in a large, open field.

    Would be worth watching if the weather cooperates.

    My company had a Hydroplane race boat at one time, thats why I'm I had to move to a much warmer climate. The name of the boat was "Miss.Management"!!! Bawaahaaaa Bawahaaaaaa! haaa haaaa !
