After spending so much producing the FF in the first place they are not so inclined to radically change things when it is already such a good product particularly as they are working on the V6 flat plane version of the Maserati engine to go into the Dino which will be shorter and lighter than the 488 which will have at least 550bhp in a package that competes with the baby Maclaren on price and performance.
Whether it ever sees production is another thing but chat in the cafes around town is optimistic
Two years ago in the back shed at Modena at the Maserati factory they were working on a stretched 4c with a view to putting the turbo V6 in the back and calling it possibly the Gransport but handling issues and balance stopped the work.....it later evolved into the potential for an Alfa 6C which has been muted by Fiat so much work has already been done and if it does appear I can see a bit of platform sharing which has again been inferred.

With face lift FF hitting the streets later in 2016 and probably running for at least 4 years that takes us to 2020 or 2021 and the 488 with upgrades lasting until at least then the only new model for sure will be the F12 replacement which isn't even being referred to yet as to when........so the Dino could be with us sooner

What's wrong with the sales number? Only the dealers are the ones that's not happy cause they keep doing phantom orders of FF in order to gain allocations of other models and stuck with the FF inventory.

FF was never suppose to be a popular run of the mill car like a 458 or even a F12. Ferrari made it for their owners who wanted such a car. And those that bought one are extremely satisfied with theirs.

Guys, I've just come back from the Ferrari showroom in Switzerland and they said that the new car will be presented in Geneva. The front will look like a F12 and the rear will have 4 tail lamps instead of current two individual light system. They would not confirm if it would be a hybrid or not but will definitely keep a V12

I still do not understand why Ferrari has gone from two tail lights to four - and ONLY for FF?

Wrong way if you ask me. But it is always up to each and everyone if one likes a car or not.

Ferrari in house styling is not Pinanfarina. It matters.

No no, the source is a well know German magazine called AutoBild Sports Cars. In the latest issue (number 12, December 15) is a Ferrari special over 20 pages including the roadmap till 2020. Very interesting! It seems that the FF will change its profile clearly...

Doubt they will go gull wing on the next gen FF. With the current FF they have made it more usable. Gull wing is a nice design, but not as an everyday car.

I said that already on the 1st December 2015 in post #180.
Geneva March 2016 is clear since months. With 8 cyl engine plus another version with 12 cyls (at a much higher price). No hybrid.
Previews are this December in Maranello.

Fore sure a V8TT If they are to do a large gullwing like that because there's no room left for a V-12

I am 99% certain (you can never be 100% with Ferrari) that the FF will have a V8 TT, even if in addition to the V12.

Thanks for sharing the roadmap. I do not believe in the Dino, and their designs are absolutely hideous. Looks more like something belonging to a remake of Blade Runner than anything else..

Apart from obvious clues (wheels, grills etc) it's hard to see much Ferrari DNA in those designs, intriguing as they are. However I'm looking forward to all of the new models, especially the FF.
