FF sits lower (I don't have lifter but will for sure on FFm). I'm FF bias, big time! FF probably takes a bit more work if you push it in adverse weather conditions; that's the fun of having it

The shoot was a fraud. I know the production team and they weren't happy that the Conti had studded tyres and the FF has only sotozeros. As journos they felt a deliberate bias was being exercised.

I have had the W12 Bentley and the V8S - Both Coupes and they handle like boats compared to an FF. Not to mention that the steering is vague at best.

They will have to do some serious upgrades before I bother buying another one.

From what I understand, it's not a question about what TG wants, it's a question about which tyres the manufactures put on their test/press cars for the given event. The Bentley was delivered with studded tyres as that was what Bentley wanted and the FF with the tyres Ferrari wanted. I completely agree that it is apples and oranges in a test like that, but how is it a fraud? Isn't it more a question of saying that's just how the cars performed on set tyres? This is not only a TG thing, it's simply a question of using the cars as the manufactures want, otherwise the testers will be blackballed from getting press cars. I may be wrong, but that's my understanding of how things work.

You can be quite sure Ferrari was represented, and if they had wanted anything other than the Sotto's on the car, they would have put it on.

The problem is not in what the manufacturers wanted or specified but in the portrayal by the presenters in that the comparison was made as if both were suffering the same handicap. There were no studded tyres available for the FF as none had been tested and approved by Ferrari. Further the Ferrari drove there and performed on the same tyres whereas the Bentley changed to a set of narrower wheels with studded tyres for the test.
Hardly a level playing field and the fraud referred to is this was a test to see which car performed better on ice. Ferrari may not have known Bentley were bringing a gun to a knife fight and if they did.....more fool them

Seems to me JC usually likes to make a point and the point he was going for was the Ferrari AWD system isn't full time and then he went out to find an absurd downside. No one in their right mind would drive like that on public roads in clear weather, never mind in foul weather. I never really gave that video too much credence.

I think there is so much difference between Ferrari and Bentley product that you either want one or the other. I don't see a video like this making any difference.

Features, yes. Yet I'm not convinced the look and overall integrity will be good. Pinanfarina has something special that in house has yet to match.

Not sure I can call the 4 tail lights, if true, an improvement - for me that will be the end of FF.

Why do 4 tai lights make a difference, the FF is not just about 2 tail lights....

It's not only about the engine - for me it is the package. And sorry, I do not like a design with 4 tail lights. It is perfectly okay that no one agrees with me ;-)

Two large round tail lights seems to be a current Italian design cliche. You see them on Ferraris and the current Alfas (but not the Guilia).

I learned today from someone who saw it in the flesh that there is a spoiler above the rear window

Now that would make sense. The below-the-bumper wing is OK but may need more down force at high speeds. Styling wise, it would join pretty much all larger wagons and SUVs. I'm good with it.

The car will be in Geneva with V12. TT8 is not decided yet. (my info is for european market, i think will be similar in US)

Totally new back, with 4 taillights (like Marcel posts before)
New side vents (more like 250 GTO)

Totally new interior. New seat styling, new tunnel and bridge for buttons of F1.
New dashbord with wider Screen for multimedia. Size more like iPad mini in horizontal.

I have just heard the same so seems to tie up. The V12 will definitely soak up the orders before the V8 is even offered.

On a different topic, I have also heard that the Dino has been canned??

I would be surprised if they abandon the concept of a smaller, lighter, less powerful, and a bit less expensive sports car because they need it to drive more sales volume. Perhaps a particular version of the idea was not approved. Thanks for the info on the new FF. It sounds promising!

Shame in a way, was hoping they would go for a lightweight NA car but it seems not to be - next on my list would be a TDF Aperta if they do one!!!

Off course they'll do a TDF Aperta unless they don't like 100M profit and they don't want to propagate their stock price :)

FF 121 previews in Feb, I am going. Am told styling addresses obvious "defects" (bread van etc), power to 700 and massive overhaul on interior.

With the V12 being a certainty, and a restyling that might be less polarizing, it'll be interesting to see how it will affect the used FF market.
