The sums don't add up I'm afraid. 8000 miles a year at say 15 mpg as opposed to say 20 - 22 with electric for what extra 10k .....15k even. When they can charge 11k for a clear glass roof that cost what 700-1000 the sky is the limit for kers.

Haha, that awful navi system. Mine choked when I enter a destination more than 120km or so away, it would pretty much froze. Thank god I had CarPlay and just plug in the iPhone to use as the backup system.

blindspot assist is actually not that high on my list, the car windows are big and open enough that nothing really creeps up on me.

Heated steering wheel would be nice, I already have heated and ventilated seats so that would just complete the package.

Moving some buttons is also on my wish list, like the lift button, why can't they just put it close to the camera button like on the F12? Also the trunk and gas cap release buttons should be moved off the floor.

    Perhaps better shaped cupholder cutouts.

Outside of those little things, I can't think of anything else to improve on the car. Hell, I loved the external connection point for the car charger, way better than the inside the trunk one on my F12.

IMO It's all about adding horsepower and meeting emissions standards than MPG

    Very nice Whoopsy.

I suspect on the 8 speed transmission thing- its probably something to do with the transmission supplier- I think its Getrag. If they go to 8 speed DCTs and thats all they are making then thats what it is. Also, 8 speeds probably gets you a little better fuel economy and that still does matter. Maybe they can make 1st even more bonkers!

2nd and 3rd should be shorter and even more fun in the 8 speed :)
The 8 speed will probably land up in ALL future Ferrari's

Key for me is improvement in AWD unit. At a minimum I would like it to apply to fifth gear. Agree with most other comments eg improvement with Sat/Nav, buttons.

And I really like the way it looks. I think its very classy. Though I have a weakness for shooting brake designs)

Forgot to add - I would also love heated steering wheel.

I would really love a sunroof. One that actually lets the sky in.
Also have a weakness for shooting brakes. Loved the Scimitar and the Lancia HPE and so each to there own as has been said.

    Absolutely, both are beautiful.

In my case I really like the current FF, in particular its tail design with this edge, truly unique. I even see a collectors potential...

I hear about rear wheel steering from the TDF, just under or at 700 hp from the NA V12 w no electric support. 4 tail lights, similar rear design but with larger back windows and slight change of geometry. All new dash area with, tablet style touch displays etc.

Looking forward to the 2017 car. Have a feeling it will only help the older cars like my '14.

Not for the people in the back, or the storage, or the access to the fold down area.

It's not a photo, it's a car. I think the uniqueness as is, is more beautiful than trying to be something more common.

    Time will tell :)

I think they initially hit all the right targets for the unique cohesion that is the FF, and at this point the mods will be gimmicks or integrity distractions. Electrics? 8 speed? Come on.

Plus the MSRP will go up.

Biggest draw back to 4 seat 2 door car is access to rear. Need to consider something like gull wing or at least rear mini doors to make it practical for adults

otherwise just get a f12 and a suv instead of ff

Brian, seeing the strength of the USD and the already high price of the current FF I doubt the facelift MSRP will be much higher... The facelift will be nice enough for 2012-2014 owners with deep pockets and who like the FF to upgrade, more so if it can help their standing with Ferrari dealers for special cars. So there will be extra used cars to put pressure on an already very heavy used car market. Some time after the new introduction expect early FF to hit $150k and low miles 13 or 14 around $200k. Actually despite a much higher MSRP than the 612, the FF has hit the $200k mark one year earlier. Scary.

Maybe the UK market is different as we have RHD only so a much smaller pool of cars, but used values are firm with average mileage early cars still starting at £150k with circa 20k miles. Good colours and specs cost more and don't seem to hang around for long.

I have been told to expect a €20k Euro Price increase (about £14k Pounds) for the facelift car which i guess Ferrari will justify with the power increase, rear wheel steer and maybe a couple of items becoming standard, perhaps AFS etc.

I don't see early current model FF prices crashing any time soon. If anything the market is now becoming more aware of what a great buy a used FF is, with 7 years free servicing from new, 2 years additional Ferrari warranty and relative % low depreciation when buying used. You can actually own an FF for lot less real cost than buying many new higher end Mercs, BMWs, Porches etc. and the market is finding out. Even non franchised dealers in the UK that would have been scared off of stocking an FF a couple of years ago are now actively looking to get them for stock.

I really like the Automobile mag render but it looks a bit like they mixed one of the concept cars from the early 70s, the current Maserati GT and the FF. I don't think they will go that way. But who knows.

I really like everything rmitchell248 said except the tablet touch interface. I really hope not. In order to accomplish anything one has to take their eyes off the road to use this. I am not a fan. But in all honesty- if I loved the rest of the car this wouldn't stop me at all.
