    Hi all
I noticed when cleaning some fine dust like stuff coming out of both of the both covers I have (came with the car). I first thought that it is just dirt. One is dark blue/black the other crema (matching the interior) - just for context.

I had to swap the boot cover as one of the tax fasteners fully came out and realized that there was a film of these particles (not dust) on the soft top (the cover I took off is the crema).

I am wondering if this is an expected disintegration of the boot liner other had seen?

I am thinking to get a brand new boot and add the female fasteners myself (going the cheaper route) or get one form the usual suspect major suppliers - any thoughts?

The fairy dust from the lining is an unfortunate fact of the age of the covers. I’ve approached an auto upholstery shop and he had no solution for relining it.

Vacuum it with a hand vac or just shake it out. It's a break down of the inner liner.

Tenax fasteners. Very common. Check out marine supplies or ebay.
